She finished in 67th place. If she had been in first and did that I would be somewhat impressed. But being 67th I am not so supportive. If that was one of my sons, I would have made him crawl home and would not have picked him up unless he made it to me. And if you think I am lying ask someone who knows me and my sons. Whats so impressive. WOW she can crawl.

What's so impressive is she shattered the crap out of her leg and didn't flinch- it was never even an option for her to quit. She kept going the only way she could. I've never had a shattered leg but I'm willing to bet she's one of very few humans who have and didn't even flinch or cry out in agony. WINNING 1st place isn't always everything...it's having the heart to finish the game. JMHO there, sassypants. ;)

No your wrong, I heard some whimpering, turn up your volume, and she did look like she was crying when she got "picked up". Those are bad signs. Id cull her. LMAO.

most would have quit when they broke there leg.you see it all the time in sports where someone broke a foot or leg and just rolled around on the ground.

I dont feel bad, that was funny! She does have some grit though. But if she had been using proper form, keeping her muscles under control instead of givin the ole rubber leg, she might not have broken it. But she still gets mad props for her crawling 'scratch'. For the record, I have broken bones in sports and continued, so dont try to grill me on the "you dont understand, man!" level.

is it amazing?hell no but i still got to give her credit for finishing.she was just a high school girl and to see that nowadays is pretty cool, considering the fact that todays generation seems to be pampered a lot.i know people that have got in trouble for just yelling at there kids.maybe i was just raised different.my mom didnt yell, she just whipped some ass.kids didnt mouth back as much in the day.sorry got off subject for a second.

LMAO of course you should. What the hell good is she with a broken leg? We shoot those in the horse business. Unless it's Barbaro, but we can't turn her out to stud like they wanted to do with him. :D LOL. There's going to be a little raincloud following me around all day now. Damn you Mr.!:p

I thought it was impressive that she broke one bone first and kept running until the second one broke, then she still crawled over the finish line.

    From the article:
Thanks to YouTube and Internet blogs such as The Big Lead, the rest of the world sees courage, determination and an off-the-charts tolerance for pain.

What place she finished doesn't matter - she lost game and nobody can deny that.

I'll be honest, I don't know if I could or would have done the same thing. Also, about her not being in first, the article says that just a year ago, she wasn't even a runner, so with only a year to work with, she seems to have done pretty well. I don't know much about cross country running, but I had some friends who did it, and it seemed like a hard sport. She might not be a "hero" like they are portraying, but she does have some guts and motivation, that is for sure.
