I know what you're getting at but their ancestors that went to America were allowed to carry the torch the way it was meant to be.

Maybe nice for sports. But you're not beeing honest, claiming that they are gamebred.

Hello, breeding for gameness means not only breeding for dogs fight. The Bulldogs are dogs that can be tested in hunting activities, such as the badger or fox drawing (where this is still legal). Perhaps, for many people, this is not a selection for gameness, but every man has different opinions.

    Best regards

The only way to breed fighting dogs is to breed from fighting dogs , not fox or badger dogs or flirt pole dogs but dogs that are tested in the pit and not , with all dogs you get whay you breed from its been the same for three hundred years or so I MYSELF believe others on here think differently and thats there right

I think your post is not giving the respect to the real gamedogs which it should do, in my opinion. The dogs i'm talking about had to keep up there head in heaviest conditions and had to earn this title the hardest way.

Think even pups bred from, by example game-sire and notgame/untested-dam, shouldn't carry name 'gamebred'. Gamebred= simply: gamedam X gamesire.
Ultimately this pup COULD become game (no doubt about that), but have to earn the title 'game', only tested in the box the hard way, i think (just like the other ones). Dog on dog. Not by biting a dummy or hunting a fox or badger.

It dont nean someone with a mensa IQ to understand what i say its just plain old common sense , if you have a single dog (parent) that is proven game and breed it to its full belly sister or brother that is untested the resulting puppies are not gamebred . The untested parent could be cold or a ten minute cur , howevor unless you check them you will never know , thats why its always best to breed from proven tested stock . A dog that is cold can produce deepgame dogs just as a rank cur can produce game dogs , they cannot howevor produce gamebred dogs and somewhere down the pike that cur will surface again . Breeding dogs is like rolling dice sometimes it comes up sixes another time its snakeyes , you as a breeder have to cut the odds in your favour by breeding from only game tested gamedogs that are bred from the same , or as Mayfield used to say the less shit you have in your ice cream the better it taste

Dear friends, there much difference between being "sportmen" and to be breeders. Even a child can be tested the dogs for their game and cull everything that does not reach a level of excellence: my 9 year old son can do...

Conversely, there are few people who know how to evaluate a stud dog or a brood bitch for breeding, who can keep alive a certain bloodline, who can really wait the times of maturation of dogs and no "break them" with absurd and illogical game tests.

Almost all "sportmen" only know how to remove and discard the dogs, but no know absolutely keep alive their dogs and bloodlines... These people constantly test their dogs because they never are convinced of the goodness of their decisions and, confused, often cull dogs not good for the sport, but great for the breeding...

These people often remain without dogs (and it is normal if you are always trying to break their game, and every dog has his breaking point) and then, buy other poor dogs by the "dealers" as sportmen called, disparagingly, who is able to breed dogs without destroying its kennel...

So friends, talk about gamenes only and EXCLUSIVELY to justify a breeding methods that do not lead anywhere, is very dangerous for our Bulldogs.

And, I repeat, a Staffordshire who work honestly on a badger, Boar, etc. is for us of "Bulldog Kennel's" a real game dog in the broadest sense of the term.

    Best Regards

JT, mayfield did not claim that it was he said ELI that was by Little Cotton x Crybaby. there was never any question about Eli Jr & Bullyson being littermates.
