I'm bumping for those that are not aware of the city of FW actions an the direction the city wants to take towards the APBT. This Video will clearly show that Mayor Mike Moncrieff and the Director Of the FW A/C Brian Bennett are specifically targeting the APBT with their dangerous dog proposed law. This is a back door attempt at BSL and the AR community is supporting it. Texas does not permit BSL. The City council plans on voteing on this agenda Aug 11, 2009

This the proposed lanqauge of the ordinance.

    Aggressive Dog:
Means any dog that the Director determines has, without provocation:

    (1) Repeatedly attacked and injured other domestic animals within
its own enclosure, provided, however that basic interaction and
play among animals of the same species does not constitute an
“attack” for puoses of this provision; or
    (2) Repeatedly bitten one or more persons who are lawfully inside
    the animal’s enclosure; or
    (3) Repeatedly attempted to climb over, dig under, chew through,
break, or otherwise escape from its enclosure in an attempt to
attack, chase, or harass a person or another domestic animal as
observed by a person charged with enforcing this ordinance.

This is another proposed ordinance that can follow suit after they deem your animal dangerous in the city of FW.

That Section 6-17, “Registration of a dangerous animal other than a dog,” of the Code of

the City of Fort Worth, Texas, is hereby amended to increase the dangerous animal
registration fee relating to an animal declared dangerous as the result of an incident that
occurs on or after September 1,2009. Section 6-17 shall read in pertinent part as follows:
    (a) The e4-ty-animal control authority shall annually register a dangerous animal if
    the owner presents proof of:
    (4) Payment of an annual registration fee to the animal care and control
division of Lj)fifty dollars ($50.00) it’ the animal was declared dangerous
as the result of an incident that occurred before September 1, 2009, or (ii)

five hundred dollars ($500.00) if the animal was declared dangerous as the
result of an incident that occurred on or after September 1, 2009.

I'm asking folks to step up an say NO! to the city of FW! I don't care if you live in FW or in Texas. The FW city council needs to know that breed profiling is not acceptable nor is it tolerable! Inform and spread the word on these backdoor tactics ...

Thank you for your help and support!

Thank you! That what we need is for ppl to spread the word! Can you link the RPOA as well? Mary Beth is awsome and has worked tierdlessly on this. As a APBT owner .... i can't thank her enough. An I don't even think she owns or has ever owned an APBT? Speaks volumes on her behalf.

What is realy needed is ppl to show at this council meeting
