I have always loved the state of california but i am now considering relocating because of all the rediculous laws and retarded animal rights freaks. I am not going to live in a state were the government is going to fine me or take away my dogs for being a responsible owner. What states are the best for pitbull owners? california has gone to far!! besides the gun laws here are so strict!!!

  3. I live in Texas and my state prohibits BSL and besides that people are really fair to me about my dogs. I really don't get a lot of stairs from people when I walk my dog and I even get a lot of people asking me questions about my dog (nice questions of course). The only person I have ever had trouble with as far as my dog was concerned was an old neighbor who was a little dog lover and felt that they were too dangerous to have around other animals (regardless of the fact the chihuahua she was holdly was snarling at my dog the whole time:rolleyes: ). But you can't win them all. In my town most people love pits and similar breeds. I live 1 1/2 hours west from Dallas and Fort Worth. The only problems I have with Texas is that it can get pretty hot:p . But oh well. I wouldn't recommend Arkansas (I've got relatives there). People are snots. Wyoming is pretty fair from what I can tell they don't even have a town with any BSL. But I wouldn't know how to handle those cold winters. That is about all I can tell you. But I highly recommend Texas. Great place to live and lots of really friendly country people!

  5. Hey don't worry I completely understand. I think Oregon would be good for you then. I don't hear too much crap from there. Besides it's really beautiful there!

I think Florida is, i can go to parks(like the state parks with canoeing and woods) and eat with my dog. The places dont care what ur breed of dog is as long as its a well-trained, friendly dog.

There arent to many animal freakos here...

Just keep in mind that laws change EVERYWHERE. What is a friendly city one day may very well turn out to be the next Denver or Ontario. BSL isn't contained by any one area.

That being said- Florida is a pretty decent place, apart from the few places that do have BSL. Miami-Dade county is probably the worst, but central Florida counties (Hillsborough, Polk, Pinellas) are all quite bulldog friendly (And in most cases, rural). Your dog can go with you to parks, restuarants (Must eat outdoors. Gov. Jeb Bush just passed this law), some shops, etc. The only down fall- cost of living is out the roof & don't even get me started on housing ;)

I have not had any issues here either but I don't live in a city nor will I. I have sent letters all over against BSL even out of my state. I think next term I may run for State Rep Been thinking on it any way. I will have to do it as a resident of the other farm as the state rep here is a friend of mine. Can't cut out a fellow Conservative Elephant. I would avoid all cities. They have too many folk that believe in those news casters and papers writers. I think they are all liars. Especially the good looking ones.

  12. Where in Arkansas do you live? my family lives close to North Little Rock and also in Eureka Springs. Now I will agree to avoid all major cities there but Eureka is pretty good other than the occasional stares. It seems to be the central part of the state that is bad on BSL in Arkie but it is very dear to me and i love to visit but my pooch just can't go with me anymore :( . Love the White River though best catfish in the world!!!!!!!

Cheese; No.Cal has always been talked about being better than So.Cal. It's got nicer areas to live & it cost more there. So.Cal isn't what it used to be & it still costs alot. I don't blame you for wanting to get out. If I could, I would. And you are right on about the government & all the 'BS' changes here, going on. I always wonder what will they come up with next. The mayor here, only cares about making L.A. bigger & better for certain persons. If you find a better place, let me know too.

So what's holding you there? Need a ride? Bus ticket? I can't thing of any thing outside of being chained to a tree that could stop me from leaving any state. If it were not for the Euro deal I think I would live on my farm in Hungary.

I live between Conway and Valonia Off of Lower Ridge. I have land up yonder in Rex. Been out on the White river in my Bass boat several times and the Arkansas fishing and hunting duck. Yah and I go out on some friends party barge sometimes. Drink a little shine and some beer and cook on the grill. No better life. My dogs travel every where with me just like my pistol. I have a FFL and I can do that. There is a Pit Bull club that meets in Little Rock every year. They don't do much. Mixed crowd though got some punks and some good folks. The combinations doesn't always mix. I hang out with this old man while there and we sit and talk with a mason jar and no one bothers us. Good folk are alowed to sit on my tail gate or in my Stang. I wont let a punk come near or pet my dogs. Dogs are not aggressive I can be though. I don't have trouble with the law. My local Senator Gilbert Baker and I are friends and I am politically involved here as well. Blanch Stinken and Prick Pryor are worthless liberals but I send them love letters many times in a month. They both know my name. I hate their guts and livers.

PA, NJ, Vermont, those states dont have bsl. nj has a dangerous dog law, which is fine, they dont discriminate on breed, just the dogs actions.

just remember also, when you move, if you buy a house make sure the homeowner insurance company doesnt discriminate either against pit bulls. and if you rent, make sure the landlords' insurance company doesnt discriminate also.

Texas is the greatest I don't have probs. here and the gun laws aren't so bad either. My uncle raises APBTS here for hog dogs. I live in North Texas near Dallas. It's just close enough to the city, and just far enough to be able to run in feilds. Plus property here is easy to get and decently priced. Gas is also pretty low compared to most states as well because we produce our own gasoline here. I paid $2.97a gal. for premium gas yesterday!
