Free health care in America

And yet again you are trying to convince me I know nothing of something I'VE been through.

Everything you've listed, i've been there. What do you think the hospital trips were for? Just to visit? I was taken by ambulance from work to the hospital for developing tunnel vision, heart palpatations, and blacking out mentally. Meaning I was still concious up and walking around talking to people but had no clue wtf I was talking about and never remembered any of it. And guess what, I ended up having to pay off all $3000 in bills JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD.

To me all that sounds like is psychobabble crap for someone that is just freakin' irresponsible and needs an excuse for it. I am NOT saying these things do not exist, i'm just saying most of these people diagnosed with these issues do not really have them. You can stay on your meds all you want, more power to ya, but just don't be surprised when other people, who have BEEN THERE DONE THAT, get frustrated spending their tax dollars on funding for health care for people that REALLY HAVE NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM. It's called LIFE, it's a bxtch, deal with it. Where there is a will, there is a way, some just settle for less.

 

okay,,, I tried to stay out this conversation,,, here is the trouble i have out of this situation,,,

some ppl need it ,, some don't,, first you must be will to help yourself before you want the government to bail you out,,,

but if i layed up on my ass and not worked or anything i could walk in and get help,,,

the working ppl cant get help,,,

in the last 3 years i spent a good 10000.00 on these titanium rods i got in my back,,,Do you think i have had any help at all,,,Hell NO,,, my family has to make sacrifices to get it paid,, at least help yourself first,,before you want everyone else to help...

its been 3 years of hell,, 3 surgeries,,

I'm sorry, I didn't see that. I find that funny. There were times that I didn't sleep for days. That is right, DAYS, on multiple occasions. You never hear me complaining.

I am not denying that you have medical issues but you are seriously starting to sound like you are overly medicating yourself. Too much medication can throw your body for a loop and cause many other problems. Your body is not made for that.

 

Well hell lets all have a pissy match about how we were treated as children. I grew up in a trailer til I was 5. We moved into a house, my dad had a great job in industrial work. He made good enough money to buy my mom the car she wanted. When I was 8 we lost it all because my dad was laid off and the company was shutting down. Thats when he made the decision to go into nursing. My dad busted his ass too to be where he is now. He's very frugal with his money as well.

It was nice your mom made you clothes.. cuz when I was a kid my mom took her anger out on me nearly every day. I got whipped with anything she could find. While she screamed at me if I didn't stop crying "from being spanked" that she wouldn't stop. How are you going to tell a little kid to stop crying when they are going through child abuse and than when I was 10 I was abandoned by my mom for men that were obviously more important than me. When I was 13 she went through her second marriage, her husband didn't like me so I wasn't allowed to visit my mom at her house. My mom barely spoke to me at all, and if she did it was because I had done something bad and my dad didn't disiplin me enough, so she felt even in her absence that SHE had to do it when she was around. I wasn't a bad kid, but I grew up with my mom choosing my sister over me and men. The only thing "bad" I did to deserve being abused was cry whenever my mom was leaving me to go have fun and buy my sister things. Now days my mom says that I was such a "good child" and I didn't cause her the problems my sister caused her. She obvioulsy doesn't remember what she's done to me. My dad is pretty much a work a holic. He was always studying and working full time and going to school full time to support me and my sister. I didn't get attention as a kid, unless you consider negative attention. I rarely got hugs, I rarely heard "I love you" from my mom.

Honestly, if you were poor I hope that you never went through what I did. No child deserves what I went through. I could never ever put my future children through that kind of hell.

 

Oh and I have to laugh a little at the 27 hrs of being up. Are you serious? That's a lot? Did you know that if you continued to stay up, you're body would eventually exhaust itself and you would fall asleep. Took me 42 hrs, but the house was REALLY clean. So was the yard, and the dogs were pretty tired out to. But then I slept for 15 hrs and all was well.

I dunno why I even bothered with that since i'm sure you will just try and one up me anyway but yah. Just had to.

Are you serious? I said that to prove a point. I don't want sympathy. I said that because I was stating that I never asked for sympathy or any hand out.

Apparently, you want people to feel sorry for you. Sorry, but I don't. Simply because you are fishing for sorrow.

There are many states that allow this. Obviously, NY does not allow this. I find that terrible. Hopefully, the citizens can step in with their voice and make a change. I think that something like this could be a great alternative to socialization of the system.

There are many other alternatives to socialization of the health care industry. However, the other methods does not give the government complete control. That is why they are not being allowed.

 

If you haven't figured it out yet by my posts, than no you won't understand. You won't understand ANYWAY because you've never gone through it. I'm just crazy and should get over it right?

 

Crazy, according to yourself you are. Everyone else is trying to tell you that you aren't. That is the point YOU are missing. I've clearly explained time and time again that i've been where you are and that it IS possible to get over it, but you argue that it isn't. THAT is why I say it's a crutch. You do your thing girl, take those meds, be happy, do what you do, but don't be surprised when people who have ALSO had fucked up lives feel no pitty for you.

 

I take 2 meds a day. Overly medicated? If your IMPROVING from medication than you shouldn't stop taking it just because you feel better. Any doc will tell you that about any type of medication. Just like finishing all your antibiotics although the infection is gone.

 

I'm sooooo about to lock this thread... It has gone round and round like a dog chasing his own tail... Not very productive... It has become a pissing contest... I hate threads like these...

 

Okay. I apologize. From the way you have been talking it would seem like you are taking multiple meds.

 

You are right tommy. We need less government regulation. The states were supposed to be individual colonies with a central government controlling intrastate commerce, trade between states.

I take posts at face value and answer them accordingly to how I feel about them. And whatever point I think the poster was trying to make. I'm trying to get people to understand that there are people who could benefit and have a better quality of life from free health care.

You wanna talk about how crappy your life was growing up, which I said was nothing more than a pissy match. You gave insight on your childhood and I gave you insight on mine.

 

Basically what I asked you was with the meds can you work, and if you cannot work with or without them then what is the point if your awake or not.

I never said you were crazy, however if it walks like a duck and quaks like a duck........

 

Do you know WHY our health care is getting messed up? Part of it is due to insurance companies. But WHY are insurance companies making it so hard to get with high rates? Once you figure out those answers, then ask yourself why you would trust for "the problem" to give us "free" healthcare.

The government will fix something until it's broken.
