Here's a question.....IF an ADBA APBT is a "game dog", what does that make UKC or AKC registered APBT's?

    Curs?

    no ...

if they were matched " or game bred" generation after generation than they are apbt..

    regardless of registration

if u just show ur dog and breed for that " looks" or even weight pull than u have an AST.

Just because a dog is registerd ADBA dosen't mean its game bred.I have seen lots of dogs that were registerd ADBA and were not game bred. And the last time i checked the AKC did not reconize the A.P.B.T

A registry does not make a dog game. Its the dog and or its ancestory. Some registries are know to register more of one than the other and thats why it seems that way. Regardless of registry you as the dogs owner know or at least should know what you have.

Ok. So, 16x GrCh Blackjack, 9x GrCh Blackjack Jr, 6x GrCh Jack Dempsey, 9x GrCh Tacoma Jack, Tacoma Jack's Replica, Ch Tacoma Dispatcher and GrCh Braddock....are those game bred? What would these dogs be registered as? American Pit Bull Terriers?

Do these names ring a bell?

Earl Tudor, Joe Corvino, Howard Hadley, Bert Clouse, Charles Doyles and Komosinski.....

Yes the black jack dogs are game bred, and yes you would be safe to call them APBT's

LMAO ! That's obvious in this age . .. In Tudors age the ADBA was non-existent. Registration Papers are as good as the paper they're on.. ... The men you mentioned would'nt care. In the age of today ,however, standards are different & what I like about my dog, you might not like. .. . A dog is just that ,a dog & if it be that then a blue, designer, eye-candy dog or a lankey buckskin "game bred" dog is still the same thing and as of now, we all have to live with it. When my dog learns how to read I am going to take him to the UKC and have him explain his lineage to the judges. He can pose & they can compare. Maybe they then will see where they have made a mistake by letting the AmStaffs steal his heritage away by decievers who are just in it for a dollar.. .. ... OR maybe he'll just keep on being the dog he KNOWS HE IS & let all those APBT wanna be's loathe him for what they are not & what they don't have. ....

I foresee a dead topic coming...

Then where did the Am Staff's originate from then?

Funny how the very dog's (PROVEN game dogs) I listed above, were DUAL registered, and part of the foundation stock of the Ruffian, Tacoma and X-Pert lines.

I'm not debating PEDIGREES, I just asked a simple question. So as far as your dog being able to read.....um......that is irrelevant to this topic, lol

So many people have issues with the UKC and the dogs they show, how come more 'game bred' people don't take their dogs out there and show their game dogs like we do....oh that's right....(lol) we don't "hunt" our APBT's so that makes them curs.

Who says that game bred people don't show their dogs ? Look, as I am sure you know ,there are two different standards. Kinda' hard to inter-mingle isn't it ? As far as the foundation for the AmStaffs, you know as well as I do that in order to change the breed into the AST they used game bred dogs, right ? But in that process they not only changed the name, but the conformation as well. It's a mute point that has been argued for decades. Good Luck on your dogs, glad to see that there are other active people out there, whether, UKC or ADBA.

TinMan, I'm so glad you put that link up. PPl have told me time and again that blue eyes are not a default in the standard. Well read 'em and weep... Sorry, back on subject.

some people just like to keep their stock private.. and ther business private. they dont wanna be knownsto public to be involved in apbt.. didnt u read on the other nigerino blood thread that famous known kennels are limited at what they are able to do as far as testing, culling, and evaluating..
why, well that is because public know about them, so others went private and dont talk too much and dont even involve in internet talk and dont wanna see their names mentioned in forums, let alone bring their dogs to a dog show..

those private dogman if u meet them outside and u talk to the bout apbt they will be like " what apbt, what is that, i hate dog. and arent they dangerous dogs, im a cat person " , and u will be like r u serious u dont like dogs, when i n truth he could have the best wokring stock but they keep it PRIVATE. undergound

just cos they are AST dont make them currs , makes them un tested unproven. uknown

even game bred can be currs :D... and i think even some AST might be game if tested.. but dont think percentage would be high .

im sure you guys know that the UKC was originally registering our dogs right? they called them staffies back then cause thats where the foundation of our stock came from was ENGLAND. our "gamedogs" have gone under MANY MANY different names in the past few hundred years. but one thing hasn't changed within the MAIN LINE of these dogs and that is gameness. we have finally started calling them the right name i beleive. I'VE ALWAYS SAID IT IS TIME FOR A NEW REGISTRY. A.G.R (american gamedog registry) and let the public and PETA have the pitbull name. the name sucks anyways cause, when was the last time our dogs were pitted against BULLS lmao

In the late 70's I had a male off of Cummings Dutch Boy and a Female off of Wood's Thor, they came with UKC papers and they were "GAMEBRED" Bulldogs.
Now, IMO not all ADBA APBT's are even APBT's. Ever walk to the pullin side and see those Jurrassic park and Land of Giants lookin POS. Things that make you go Hmmmmmm.

It's pretty evident that cross registering as well as cross breeding have been going on for some time. To talk about foundation dogs and registries and to bring up the Mighty Dogs such as Black Jack & Tacoma Jack and then say that your not debating pedigrees is like breeding Juan Gotti to HoneyBunch. . . ... it just doesn't make sense.
