u ever want to know my feed just hit me up and i will tell u exactly how i do it. the workout is the key and i never do more than 45 minutes of endurance work , people dont belive me. i can tell u this, i have had several 60-70 pound dogs run for over 3 hours threw the woods. Those old feed methods are old school. With all the new products on the market you dont need to feed a thousand different things anymore . you can get all you need from a good kibble and a powdered suppliment like RF1.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Right now since I learned to condition, depending on the dog, I will sometimes peak at 60 minutes total endurance and sometimes as little as 30 minutes. I don't do any strength work, none at all. i used to walk them 20 miles, spring pole them for 30-40 straight minutes, and treadmill them for an hour straight. Not all in one day of course but I would work them for about 4 hours a day. I was killing their ass!

read first next time. No one said feed is not important! Its very important but its not more important then how u work a dog. ultimatly u can do more damage from not working a dog properly than u can from feeding just kibble. Thats what this debate is about.

you cook the meat alittle and have it rare on the inside . and yes it kills the tape worm . the food is what brings them to peak . the right food and the blood will clot faster .

you mean food with a lot of vitamin k. if that is what you mean i would suggest not doing that

the most important thing is not just what you feed and why yo feed it. like how much protein and why how much fat how many carbs. what vitamins do what and what herbs do what. vitamins are very important and need to be added, but to much is also not good. these are the things that complicate the feed. but remember many human products were tested on dogs to see if they would have the desired effect. if you can find articles on sled dogs and what they get fed. they are very informative. and remember dogs do not use carbs like we do. fat is the main energy for dogs. also people believe to much protein is bad for the kidneys which is totaly false. i will not go into it right now but anything lower than 25 percent and the dog body will canabolize itself during the keep to get what it needs, and this is not good. there are a bunch of great articles written by bob fritz i9n the American Gamedog Times vol 5 and 6. that go into gteat depth about what to feed and why. it tells how much protein and fat is needed and it also tells you why it is needed in these amounts, and is backed by actual scientific studies. anyone who wants to learn about feeding for an athlete should read these articles. they are very in depth, but written so that they are easy to understand

i will just give me one second. now this is something i read so if you have had success with it, then you would no better than me but i will try to explain the reasoning.

the vitamin k that is in the food is not the problem, it is if you are feeding certain leafy greens that have a high sulfur content, because the sulfur is bad for the kidney's the vit k is great the sulfur is bad.

well all the guys before you were very wrong about how they feed . damn they need boze and dynomite to help . the food is real important . the peak want be there like it should without feeding right . i don't even know what rf1 is . real food is what you need .

i never said you were wrong but what i posted was how all th oldtimers who conditioned good dogs fed. you ever heard of peak performance. many of the top conditioners fed this, it was even endorsed by men like HH, robert lemm, and others who i will not name. so i am not going to argue with you, but if you feel supplementation is not necessary wiuth real food then why does every single professional athlewte in the entire world use supplements, i will tell you it is because the food trhat we eat is so over processed that many of the nutrients get diminished so whatever you say old goat i guess all those years of scientific studies were wrong. they should not have wasted there money and just called you on the phone.

no what i'm saying is they feed fresh food . and they gave 1 multivit. and good old red meat and kibble . and a few other foods . and this is how the oldtimer feed . there's a few other thing . but you need to learn them from someone and not read it in a book . and i knew lemm and he was a mill maker . he did condition some dogs . but only 1 was his . he lived in neighborhood with a small yard . i never seen more than 3 dogs there . they endorse for all kinds of reason . and dogs are different than people . you will have to spend years to know it . i'm only tell how it was . some young guys did it but what i call oldtimers is different than what you do . i've seen many of them .
