Fatal Flaws in Working Dogs

Gr Ch Ace blood? I heard that there were some really good dogs down from Ace. My point is that sometimes the best box bog does doesnt produce great for some reason. I wild own one from the right person.

LOL that's right before her show against sadie... I have seen that one look at those little muscular ham hocks! Love it ...

 

Heres another great looking bulldog IMO. I thought his second was :17, but cant really remember. Guess I'll drag it out of storeage some day.

OMG Zebo did not produce hardly anything fastlane or the line for that matter except a rare few out of 1000s. Worst producing line imo for fastlane.

 

I totally agree i like no more than about an 1/8th Zebo at the most in my Eli bred stock

 

Speaking of Ch. Charlie, we have a female off Ch. Mafia bred to one of the only sons of Gr Ch Psycho atm.

There are a couple of possibilities
,one the lack of the needed genes. Not the dogs fault or the owners.
two ,the owner. This is the biggest fault a dog can get and the only one you can do anything to change.
Chain fighting can be a fault of the dog or the fault of the owner.We've been to too many yards of good dogs where there is little ,if no destruction of teeth or houses. Then there are yards where there is nothing but crowded and neurotic dogs.
As for the original questioner, are you faulting you own dogs or others?What are you worried about in your own yard and can you supply good pics of the problem?Maybe a ped too. What a great thread...Thanks guys.The comment that the only fatal flaw is in "the heart and mind"is so true and I relay that to every single person about bulldogs in conversation.I have noticed that in 99 % of the time litterally people have no clue.Bulldogs in many cases just happen to look good.My other comment is Ranginess...I think its important to have a little.I like it.Some of the best bulldogs had that rangy look and were very accomplished.Good examples of this are Hammonds dogs.There some nice rangy ones and they so ugly they beautiful!LOL..I have also noticed that the more lines that have game pedigree and were bred right tend to not look like what society would call a pitbull. Sometimes I am asked what is that?....I am fine with it and it gives me an opportunity to explain and educate.Great thread!

I got a question I never saw Buck go .And he does look like a rangy dog so what made him special?I am asking those who saw him go.I know he had the heart but what was his strengths?Just lookin at a picture did him being rangy give him better athletic ability?

 

How about roached backs? Whats do you guys think about that? As there has been many a good dog with roached backs in different degrees. Do feel like ut affects a dogs performance or do think it acts like a spring giving the dog more flex so to speak?
