Love to see a dog pull the leach like a madman..lol

Random question? did you guys have to stimulate your dogs to pull the leach or did it came natural?
ive tried it with a flirt but no results.

Mine pulls all by herself, always has been at the end of the leash since I got her. She loves to chase which includes cars, bikes, motorcycles, and of course other animals that she sees, this keeps her stimulated for that insane pull. She keeps the leash tight for the most part even without any objects to try to get to.

for the first week we did a lot of hand walking I'd say 30 miles a week with some light pulling. i I will also take her to an open field where theres ton's of fabbits running around and let her go crazy. The rabbits give her a hell of a workout works better than the flirt pole. The second week has been pretty much the same except with some tug and we'll try swimming today for the first time

Nice, I wish I had access to a field to let my girl free run with the rabbits. I bet that would be a great workout.

Any suggestions as to how long she should swim today for the first time to get a good workout in? She loves the water just has not started actually swimming just chasing sticks in shallow water

a good 15 min should not hurt.. i gues if you watch close you can see how much is enough for the first time..

Ive started with letting em chase sticks in the water aswell but imo they can get alot of water inside..
once i switched over to stones..

Just trew a litle rock in the water, they will chase it ones in.. i just needed to trow litle stones to one side and the other..ended up with having a great 30 min workout everytime.

did alot of swim work back in those years and it worked perfect.

    Best of luck

Does urs respond to voice? I talk her up too if she gets a little lazy. "c'mon get it" always seems to help her focus, looking for the next thing to chase. My other bitch, was real calm n cool she sounds similar to urs as she would heal next to me unless a squrrel or dog were in view. She was a tough one to get pullin. Geuss it is just luck.

they sure do.only thing is leach pulling aint there thing.
flirtpole. jenny etc etc no problem at all.

but ever since i kno how effective pulling the leach is, damn i can only wish for it i gues.

My dog pulls naturally and if he slacks up a little bit I tell him to "go check it out" or "lets go" and he starts pulling again.
