hello oldtymer mate,
who were the ones that ducked max ?

like i said some reid dogs won over limey dogs and the opposite is also true.
we only ever seem to hear about a handful of dogs, these were not the entire story.

hia i have a 4yr old dog that descends from reids stuff, which we used a lot of in the mid 80s, we wheedled out various other so called game stuff and reids did for us everything we asked. cheers red.

You can credit shaun barker with the irish stafford crap, he started the craze, after mixing a few well bred pits with a staff, and even they were suspect.

 

Buddy was not a littermate to max and dread but he was from a repeat mating of skipper x beauty ,saw that buddy dog worked and was a awesome dog for sure such a shame he got took , actually see him get rolled into dread ..

i bred gr champion bill and owned both parents,buster was highley intelagent and stoped two apponents in rolls at 30min mark i never pushed him again he was a natuarl hunter as i reared him with lurchers,caught most quarry,includeing deer,he could quickly tell the difference between a lurcher and a pit bull.

 

How do you rate a pitbull as a hunter? i have a patterdale with some pitt in it.

 

regarding,skipper lines,i bought a pup from him in 80s/90s bred from skipper/lady lines,i reared it with my lurchers,he could do everything that they could and with ease so easy to train he was the most cleverest dog i have ever came across in my live time,i bred him and produced grand champion bill which is another story//jmr
