I believe Highlander's Oz 2xw was bred in Holland, a litter brother to B&W's CH.Spice and CH.Jolly Joker.. Oz was matched into Junkyard Boy's Bill at 55lb for his championship, if he'd won then Oz, Joker and Spice would have been an ROM litter.. Oz lost in under an hour, scratched game and was clearly a good dog... FB's were there that night, they owned two 55lb males, one was Rebel Yell, the other Ben Ryan.. They sent Rebel Yell to Holland and kept what they considered the better dog to match against Bill.. Rebel Yell defeated Limey's CH.Alligator and Bill defeated Ben Ryan.. Referee for Bill v Ben Ryan was Indian Sonny, he told old McPhie, Bill was the best dog he seen since Bolio.. Bill defeated CH.Massada, CH.Dirty Bertie and others too... I'd have been honoured to own pups sired by 'ANY' of the dogs Bill defeated, so what's that say about GR.CH.Bill? I say again sir! Negotiations were in place for Bill in Europe but he was taken by the authorities first.. I's my opinion if Bill had made it, he'd have gone through your dogs faster than ebola.

 

...if the dog produced/s.....and unsure off the ped...i would just have went with unknown..in saying that,,back then the pool of what it could be off was smaller back then...???...but that she/he was produceing would be the main thing..but understand would be nice to know.............

 

Did bill never get bred oldguy ? and was it true his father buster was a pet ?

 

Bill was bred to the EEK bitch I mentioned earlier (Neilson x Walker's Music) she never had pups though.. Yes Buster was a pet, big brindle dog, typical Skipper phenotype, looked real strange because they tried to crop his ears, made an arse of it and Buster walked around his whole life with no ears :-) Heard recently there was pups by Bill, heard of pups by Charlie and also pups by a double bred son of CH.Bash, only baited hooks to catch those naïve enough to buy hung pedigrees with a free dog thrown in.. Bash was bred to GR.CH.Bill's litter sister (decent bitch) in 199i while Road Warrior still owned him, she had pups but never heard mention of them again.. I took Bash up to Hell's Jock's Kennel and they bred him to Tania, produced a hell of a litter.. Charlie's brother (Boss) was also bred to Tania and produced pups.. IMO Rustlers Scalli was Bash x Tania but people should definitely do their homework before buying any dog being sold as Reid blood.

spice and jjolly joker were full brothers but from different litters.

I know what you mean old guy about 10 year ago I went to look at a Reid litter the brindle stud dog was the size of a Rottweiler looked more like a brindle mastiff I laughed and walked out

Thanks for pointing that out Sunbeam, think I made similar mistake once before by putting Max, Dread and Buddy in same litter.. So much to learn and so little time
