    LOL
yeah they love the Jolly Balls but the handles last a few days at best...

Large Kongs usually last a while but they don't really chew on them that much unless there's something in them. If they get a mind to really chew on one, they can tear the top of it off fairly quickly:

    1. 2 feet rope with a tire attached at the end
    2. leather bags with squeakers sewed inside them (i make these) it drives my dogs crazy not being able to get it out
    3. assorted heavy duty kong toys
    4. a stuffed dog animal that we like to call "the baby"
    5. a soft NERF football that the dogs love to play catch with

and that about it that i can think of off the top of my head

you need to buy a black kong

Exactly what I was thinking. I have yet to see pictures of destroyed black kongs. I have boughten some black ones and they lasted. Also if you call the company they usually refund and or send you a new one if your dog chews it up.

im suprised tne Nylabone was suggested. do you guys get em to last very long? i ve tried em and my dogs will lay down and chew em until they are a HUGE mess on the floor. Ropes alway end up being string in their poop, and kongs are short lived around here. DO NOT try the Nerf ball, that foam will get in a dog and youll be at the vet needing surgery in no time. some of the things people suggest on here. No plastic pop bottles either, i saw a really nice boy go thru hell cuz of the ring on em and end up passin on due to a piss poor vet. just be carefull and watch em closely before you turn your back on a dog with a toy.

Plastic bottles/milk jugs. Just make sure you remove the caps, rings and paper.

    Tennis balls
last a while. I don't buy them though, Have around 12 I just find during walks.

Soccer ball. Also found on walk. Old and beat up.

    Bowling Ball. Yard Sale
. Guaranteed to not pop. Limited play because you could ruin a dogs teeth with it.

Firehouse Tug Toy. Pretty damn tough.

I don't recommend buying much from the petstore besides tug toys. You can find better toys laying around and save some money. Given enough time, a dog can virtually chew through anything so be smart about it.

mine tear up everything! ever pop my basketballs . They dont really like the king toys but they tore the red one up. got a black one but they just step over it. I just give them raw hide and play tug with them. Tug is fine as long as im playin with them. If not they chew the tug toys up as well

i had a male that would push an old bowling ball all over the yard with his nose, he loved that thing.:D Bowling pins are tough as hell too, and make a great toy for fetch

    tony413 Big Dog

my dogs catch stuff in the air so i dont think me throwing a bowling pin would be good for my arm or their mouth

i havent had any problems with the nerf balls yet theres nothing missing from them. also always remove any small parts from an object that get lodge in the dog. i think toddler toys are best for dogs of all ages (unless they have that famous china lead).

how big was your dogs mouth to shallow a kong? or were you using the little bone type kong?

just because you havent had problems Tony doesnt mean you cant, or its something you should reccomend. my dogs would absolutelt SHRED one, as someone elses might. as for the pin, i wasnt talkin about straight up in the air.

Ditto here. I tried one once and soon had a bunch of shaved plastic that I didn't want my dog to swallow, so that was my first and last.
