Upper Darby -This story is going to make dog lovers furious.

A dog was literally thrown out of a car in Upper Darby near 69th street.

The search is on for a new home as that dog is being cared for by some good samaritans.

"I'm angry but I'm more sad. I don't know how long she's been like this," explains Cheryl Rosenthal of Milbourne.

The dog was found by some local teenagers moments after they saw someone throw the pit bull mix out of a car on 69th street and then take off.

Cheryl Rosenthal is taking care of the dog, which she's now named Queenie.

Rosenthal says, "She's wonderful. Look at her. She's just so sweet. She hasn't barked once."

Mohanad Abozaid and some friends found the dog moments after it was dumped.

They never saw the guy who threw her away

The teenagers then used their own money to. buy a leash, dog bowls and some food.

"She followed me home. I got my check and went to the dollar store and I bought her a chain," says Abozaid.

This 15 year old decided to help this animal in need despite his religious rules.

He explains, "It's against my religion to touch them or anything like that but I'm not going to let a dog die because of something like that."

The pit bull with the sweetest eyes and most gentle demeanor may also be a new mom.

Rosenthal thinks Queenie just had puppies and the owner had no more use for her.

"I think she's been chained up somewhere and used to just have babies so they can use the dogs to be fighting dogs or whatever they do," says Rosenthal.

They can't take Queenie but they're looking for a family who can.

In the meantime, she is in good hands.

Police report has been taken but police tell us dog dumping happens a lot more than you may think.
