Dog Man? Or Peddler?

DOG MAN? OR PEDDLER?


First and Formost I'd like to thank the true dogmen all over the country and all the dogmen before them, for without them there would be no APBT. Now I'd like to thank all the Peddlers for giving me the knowledge of recognizing your bullshit. Now the question at hand Dogman or Peddler? in my short time of being with thses dogs I have ran across so many wanna-be-dogmen that it just repells me. Just cause a man has 250 dogs my friend does not make he or she a pit person. Money the root of all evil has played a big role in the Peddlers life, be weary of the so-called dogman who says "Serious inquires only" or other words "don't come to my yard or call me unless your gonna buy a dog" a true pitsman's favorite past time is schooling up and coming younger pitmen, for eventually these are the guys who are going to run the doggame. A true dogman could careless about making 1 million dollars a year or 10 dollars a year off the dogs, for my friend He's not in it for the money but for the betterment of the breed. He welcomes with open arms all true young pitman and gives them something more valuable than just a dog ,knowledge.! He won't just take your money and give you a pat on the back saying thats one hell of a dog you just brought for $1,000. Knowing all along that wasnt even his best breeding but about his 8th best!! no. The true dogman is an honorable person who won't ever talk down on another mans breeding or his strain, for a true dogman knows that every strain has it good and bad dogs, the Peddler on the other hand has the gamest dogs in the world, and except for the people he get his dogs from everyone else has bullshit curs on there lot. But fortunantly the Peddler usually never has a good pit record to back this up, reason being he sells all of his best dogs as pups. And waits to hear about their records when they get older, when on does good, to him that proves he's breeding game dogs, but when one curs out that means the guy who owned him didn't know what he was doing. Ain't that some shit!!! You can easily get the two confused when you first meet them one reason is a Peddler welcomes you with open arms too, only in a different way. Notice how they start talking about the money that there receiving from the dogs and how people don't like them because of it. They fire up their dogs with a little chain sparing right there in front of you trying to get you hype on a certain dog (usually the dog they don't really want), But when they realize that your just a beginner seeking knowledge watch how quick they shy away or something comes up and there never around to talk anymore. I've only been in the doggame for about 6 years, But in that short period of time I've had the honor of talking with a couple of old time pitmen, famous old time pitmen, and I've also ran across the likes of the Peddlers, but nevertheless whether you be a true student of the game or Peddler know this, no man can ever gain personal fame from a dog, that dog speaks for himself just like that man has to speakk for hisself so when people try to gain props off of these fine animals there just whistling in the wind.
