Its definately a scam! i sell exotic snakes and i always get these emails around the same time of the year. i have a friend that fell for it and lost 15K!
    STAY AWAY!

  7. Nobody would dictate the terms of a puppy sale or placement to me if it's my puppy! LOL I'd tell them to piss up a rope and not email you back. Moral of the story is don't deal with people you don't know........plain and simple.

  8. i believe this type of scam is called nigerian 419 scam or something like that. do a google search for it and youll see how to detect one right off. people telling u how its gonna work. minor spelling errors, cashiers check is a big no no. as they want to give u a fake one that is for like $10,000 and want u to deposit in your bank then send them back cash minus a fee for the inconvienance or something of the sort. then ur bank finds out its fake then your out a shit load of cash

Correct Sandman its a Nigerian scam. You can usually tell by their bad english.I used to get them but I usually string them along for a week and say the check didnt arrive.Give them a false name and address and telephone and string them out then tell them to f*** off.

yes this is absolutely a scam. i've had them say things like they'll send a money order for 3x the amount and then they'll send a shipper to my house. then i'm supposed to pay the shipper and keep the balance. anyone who offers you more than you are asking is scamming you. also, if you are selling a puppy online, there are usually lots of phone calls and emails sent back and forth. you would get their address and check their references. most of the time these scammers give you some bs about how they are out of the country but their personal shipping agent will handle the transaction. i sold a pup for my friend and must have got 10 of these emails. i told them point blank. i do not give out my address to anyone. if someone were generally interested in a pup they'd be willing to provide me references in order to come to my yard. if not, then i would deliver the pup to their yard, and check it out. they'll stop emailing you after you set them straight. another tip off is if their email doesn't make sense. also, you can check where the email is likely sent from. probability of accuracy is about 95% if they say they are in africa or europe or something and the email is from new york, that's a pretty big tip off. hope this helps clarify some things. please beware of internet buyers and sellers.

Yeah, alot of the time the english will be bad, they will offer to send a money order[I've even had them offer more than I was asking, lol]and have you use their shipper, just retarded stuff like asking for the price and description of your item and stuff like that, when the ad clearly stated what you were selling.

i had someone try to buy some of my racing seats, they were from canada. wante dme to use their shipper and sent 2 money orders(thought they were trying to avoid paying duties)-1 for the seats, 1 to give the transporter cash. well, that threw up a red flag...so i went to the post office ( i knew the postmaster in my town) and showed him the money orders. there were 4 of the security marks that were off. needless to say, they never got the seats. the envelope was from the carribean ( which i didnt really question because i personally know5 rallyists who split time between different countries, and the ad was on a rally specific website, not craigslist or ebay)

BUT it should be noted- any time that you dont think its right, drop by the post office, they can tell you if the postal money order is counterfeit or not.
