How many breeder/owners are doing the DNA profiling ?

All the dogs of our kennels have the DNA profiling (also called DNA testing, DNA typing). At the moment - 7 generations of our dogs have this test. Read our page: http://www.volson.kiev.ua/rus/other/2/

IRON KING, nice dogs, nice site although I could only read a little of it. The letters are backwards. lol Looks like you're doing it right. Keep up the good work.

ohpitbulls the dam on the bottom side and the grandmother on the top side which is the same dog of my last pup has been done. Im thinking about doing all mine but was just looking for opinions from others. all stuff can be faked of forged but it looks like to me this would be a good way to prevent alot of bs.

don't even waste your time putting your dogs in any apbt registry, let alone having a dna profile done.

    Hi, bgblok68!
Unfortunately - we do not really understand the meaning of the messages in this thread. The reason - not our thorough knowledge of English and your writing style (abbreviated words, etc.). But despite this - we want to continue the discussion on this topic.
    You write:
Information on this page is written in two languages - English and Russian (Cyrillic). And so part of the text you do not see .
You are against DNA profiling of dogs? Is that so? Why?
In a database of pedigrees can see a lot of fake information. One of the reasons - any registered user can enter information about other people's dogs! This is outrageous! And the owner of these dogs, seeing such a fraud - can not make changes. The same dog may occur (repeated in the base) several times - to be different from the parents and it is not possible to bring together all its descendants. Appeal to Admin - does not give positive results - it does not even give an answer to your treatment! But while these sites - not free! Only some of our dogs entered in these databases and in most of the data about our dogs are not made by us. But if we speak (in person or in personal correspondence) about any our dog and her pedigree - we give 100% guarantee that this is so, as we speak.
That is why, the DNA profiling is a good evidence Maternity and Paternity. And the breeders will not have to prove in words what this dog's pedigree is correct and not falsified. And it can be traced back many generations. Genetic examination - this is just one of the positive reasons for the DNA testing.
P.S. Thank you for your positive report about our dogs. And sorry for our poor English.

IRON KING sorry about the confusion. I was just joking about the Russian part. I can view it ok but some of the letters are backwards and upside down compared to the way they are in English. I can read the english part just fine. As for the dna I've thought of doing it for over a year for the reasons you speak of but over here it just leaves another "paper trail" for the nut cases that are against our dogs. We dont have litters very often and when we do they stay here on the farm. Besides anybody that knows me knows my word is good enough. The way it should be.

    bgblok68,
Yes, we have heard and know about the situation in your country with respect to the breed of APBT. Very, very pity ...
    You write:
You're right - The way it should be.
We also appreciate our name, our work, and our dogs. But, alas, are "people" who are trying under someone else's family tree "substitute" his dog - cur ("without family and without a tribe" ). And now, so fraudsters will be problematic to do so.

THE PROBLEM WITH DNA PROOF IS THAT HOW DO WE KNOW THAT THE STUD DOG IN ANY GIVEN dna is actually the dog .Ok as an example , i dna a dog , which is actually not the dog whos the real stud to the litter , but maybe a son or not even related , now i send in the dna to the adba and they dont have any dna of my stud dog , then they register my dna with the dog that is not the dog whos dna is now registered with them. The reality is that many good dogs could be sterile ,rather than lose a sale they do something like i described. The only way we can be sure the male or female being registered is correct , is if the adba or other registry actually do the test in person as who knows what dna gets to thier offices .Obviously many people are not cheating , but the fact is unless there is third party confirmation of the dna being from a male or female, then the possibilty of untrue dna will always be there.People think that a foto of a tie between two dogs is proof of the pups heritage, but how many breeders put their sterile old stud on the female to prove a tie , then put thier young male on her after or before , then sell the pups out of the more saleable old male. The dna is supposed to stop this , but unless the dna is taken by a third party in person with A foto of this , then breeders who want to claim false dna will always be there.

True Breeders (who appreciate own name and status) - will never engage in such fraud! And those who engaged in such fraud - should know - this is his dirty work will not continue for long. Every secret will be revealed through time. One, two and ... case of fraud - and for this "breeder" nobody else will come to buy a puppy.
If in doubt when buying - spend a genetic examination. Existent with you will be taken biological material - father, mother and pup.
And it will solve the problem. Yes, it's worth the money. But we should not buy what is not so.

I won't do it and if you feel you can't trust a breeder or he/she may be prone to fraudulent practices just don't deal with them, it's that simple.

Agreed if you don't trust the breeder don't do business with them
