david, I think most of americans feel the same way. people I know who voted for obama say this is crap and they don't like it. My premium didn't go up but my deductible went from $350 to $2000 with the silver and it's still over double if i had gone with gold.

Oldgoat, I've heard people talk about the U.S. being "a corporation" before and looked into it. It's a misunderstanding of the wording of the law. It's just saying that, for the purposes of the statute, that when it refers to "The United States" that it can mean a few different things, including a "U.S. corporation". People claiming to be Moors try to use this in order to "beat" court cases. they say that, since the U.S. is a corporation and they have no written contract with the corporation, that the law doesn't apply to them. It's been thrown out of courts, and at least one state supreme court has ruled against that interpretation.

The thing about the debt ceiling is that we bring in more than enough money to cover our bills, and there is no need to default on anything. More of the usual BS from our boys in DC. I'm just wondering if they're going to use this "crisis" to spring some crazy "emergency" end-around on The Constitution and take away the few liberties we still have here....

 

tell me boot did you go to school for business law my son did ? and he made 100 on the class . your going to read something and say well they meant something else lol . yes the court will rule against them if they claim it . just like the court ruled there's no medical evidence marijuana is medicine . you drivers licenses is in capital letters that's not legal . you name can't be in capital letters like it is . try doing that on any over legal document and see if it works . there is a power grind test coming up . lets see if there's problems with that .

old goat, the code I hear people refer to when talking about the corporation thing is USC 3002, is that what you're talking about? Nowhere does USC 3002 say that the United States is a corperation. The term "Federal corporation" is being used to define further use of the term "United States" in USC. Here's the actual text:
"(15) “United States” means—
(A) a Federal corporation;
(B) an agency, department, commission, board, or other entity of the United States; or
(C) an instrumentality of the United States. "


None of those define The United States, they merely state what the TERM "United States" can refer to in the code....

 

It surprises me not very many people have commented on this thread. What really needs to be watched is the Jimmy Kimmel clip where he asks people if they know what obamacare and the ACA are. He also asks them what's the difference and none of them could answer. The ones who didn't know what either of them were. Our nation votes for people and bills they don't know what it is or how it will affect them.
Our nation is headed down the drain and Bush wasn't a great president and everyone wants to place blame on him saying he put us in this much debt...it's been said it takes 4 years to clear the last persons mistakes...so what's obama's excuse?

I look at it like this (politics, the US, and our situation):

The US has been a 250 year hiccup in the control of humanity by (mostly) the same families that have controlled us FOREVER. We came along, and suddenly REGULAR PEOPLE could have as much or more money than kings. They don't like that.

That said, the republicans represent all the super rich that were created by American freedom, and the democrats represent the "old money" trying to tear down the US so they can have ALL the money again.

Obama and the Senate and House are exempt from Obama care. House Speaker Boehner said if Obama care was so good for the country why is it not good enough for Obama and Senate and House. This is evident by the fact that Boehner sent Reed a bill to include the Senate and House in Obama care. It was quickly rejected by Reed. Must not be good for EVERYONE!!!!

 

boot business law you have to learn contracts . you can't capitalize your name unless your a corporation . look at your drivers license your name is capitalized you can do that . then if you have a kid look at their birth certificate . where you signed your name it say informant not father . and you did'nt spell United States right look again on the paper money and anywhere you will see it's spelled UNITED STATES OF AMERICA all capital letters . the act of 1871 is a contract and you have to go by every word . let me let you sign a contract and not go by every word your in trouble if you do . just a thought for you look at the back of your SSI card there's some numbers in red on the black . then get out a 1 dollar bill and put your card with you red number next to the left hand side of the 1 dollar bill where you will see green numbers . kind of looks the same does'nt it '

david, they won't wake up because they don't care. People just comply with what our government says. It's just getting worse and it doesn't look like it'll change anytime soon. I won't even put my kids in public schools because of our education systems. You can't eat beef or pork because of Muslims, Can't say the pledge of allegiance because it says God and people want to remove the word God because they don't belive in one or it's not specific so it can't be theirs. You can't express yourself because that's wrong for you to do and being different just gets you singled out and picked on by even your teachers and we wonder why school shootings happen or kids comit suicide!
