I'm all for shutting down more than the 20% that's shutdown now. lol @ calling it a shutdown when 80% of the federal government is still up and running. If 20% of the government is considered ''unnecessary'' maybe they should rethink why these people have public jobs.

I've never met anyone who was denied health coverage. Even people who have cancer or had cancer can get health insurance. The new system will havwe it's chance to take off and then flop!

It's because it's a horrible way of going about it. Why do select businesses get delayed mandates, but we don't? Why is it ok for the government to tell you that you HAVE to buy healthcare or else you will be fined by the IRS? Why did they promise lower premiums and that we could stay with our old plans if we wanted, yet the best we can hope for now is for our premiums NOT to increase and hope our coverage is still the same? We already have medicare and medicaid which are government run and are horrible. Why do you think another federally ran ''healthcare'' plan will be any better? How long did they know it would go into affect and how much money did they pour into a website that didn't/doesn't even work? lol...And you really think this ''new system'' will be any better?

The health care system we had was already so bad because of government intervention. The ACA is not helping. Not everyone will be covered under it, either.

Think about it, with your system you are limited in the amount of money you can spend ie $1500 for crowns. We could get all 5 crowns done in one day. People aren't dying in the streets because lack of health care.

 

if we want take 10 new crowns in one day its possible .......
then we have to pay 9 .....because the yearly budget for the mouth = 1500 $
so next year the next crown ...when stil alive
it have nothing to do with people dying in the streets .......
how many working people(midclas) have 50 or 100.000 on the bank ?
so when working people need heart operation ...and after have to lent 30.000 for to pay the operation ....don't wanne think about.....so you are apying back what you have lent ...in monthly amounts ....for 2 years ..then you need your second operation lol...he listen only from those bills ...you get your third heart attack

 

These costs are so high DUE to government. I work in healthcare and it's a joke how government insurance is ran. The reason why prices are so high is because medicare (not sure about medicaid) will only pay a certain amount. So, lets say you need a medical device that costs $900. Doctors will charge you $3,000 because they know medicare is only going to pay a percentage of that, and they want to recoup the original $900.

I agree there needs to be a change in healthcare, but the ACA is not the way. Essentially, the IRS is in charge of healthcare. The government is telling us that we need to purchase a product or be fined. How people don't see this has an infringement on freedom, I have no idea. What ''Obamacare'' does is make healthier people pay more to subsidize sicker people PLUS it won't even guarantee that everyone gets insurance. What needs to happen is to get government out of healthcare and allow insurance companies to compete nationwide. Create a free market that people can compare and buy policies that work best for them. The ACA will halt medical progress, especially if the new device tax is still in affect. There is no incentive for a company to produce new and better devices because they will have to pay a tax on it. With a government run healthcare system, the people are just a number and the government will decide if your problem is worthy enough to be dealt with and in what manner. New procedures will be deemed unnecessary.

I'm going to ask a very simple question. If I passed a law, yet exempted me and my buddies from it, what would you think of it?

So, I just tried to compare my coverage with that of the ACA. Looks like they haven't fixed the site that cost how many millions of dollars and time? lol... If they can't get a website to work correctly, do you think I'm gonna trust them with my life?

I never said the new system will be better.Also a lot of things are forced on us ie taxes,jury duty,ssn among other things.I'm not saying its right (aca) .I'm just saying why hitch like this the first or hes (obama) the first to do such things.ill wait till the new system actually has a negative effect on me and mine before I pass judgement same as I do when the dumb ass Republicans r running the shoe.
