Again I say this dog is absolutely not HA in any way, he reacted to high stress moment and this can happen with any dog at anytime, no matter what the age, sex, or breed. This is not in my book a valid reason to euth a dog, they are first and foremost animals and can only be expected to react as such. If this was an incident that was unprovoked or he acted out of pure aggression then I to would be in agreement to have him pts. We all need to take a step back sometimes and realize that as much as we love and cherish them they are animals and not four legged humans.

Well Well.....Seems the experts have made comments after I posted. It's funny cause you didn't read my response. But you are audacious enough to comment on WTF a bulldog is or should be. Really now! What is sad is ppl saw opportunity to jump into and try to discredit Marty WOW! Considering he has done and has much more experience than those that posted in this thread.

Bunch of cur loving breeding audacious mofo!!!

For the record... I'm not kissing nobody's ass, just stating the facts.

Well I've never calmed to be an expert on these dogs as I'm still learning every day... but when you spend over 1/2 your life with them, 51 yrs old, you tend to pick up a little bit along the way ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the thread was posted with this question asking for opinions. Opinions were given. I think everyone is entitled to theirs, especially considering the question was asked. If he didn't ask, that'd be another story. No?

from the sound of it, the sitaution was involving a moment of high intensity in a bulldogs life. i personally wouldn't let it happen twice. my rule is just that, ONCE.

I didn't read anywhere that this dog went after him full frontal attack or on the sly, like he was challenging him.....I didn't read that at all. would I consider what this dog did to be unstable, NO! I think Marty stepped on in when that dog thought he was gonna get him some and he said let me go! That dont make him bad or unstable. Handling error yes,one that will be made again...probably not!

Get some years of experience behind ya before you condem this dog to his death! I beleive that if Marty thought or new this dog to be dangerous..with out question that dog would have been put down.

I never really considered this breed to be so handler sensitive they'd they'd get all in a tizzy over being grabbed when they are highly stimulated. I've grabbed my dogs roughly when they are turned on and all I ever got was a geeky sorry look towards me, then they turn around and go right back at trying to get the other dog or I get ignored completely and I just have to remove them from the situation. lol No turning on me and if they did, well, I think everyone knows what I'd do there.
