    Why would you ever want a 15 inch surface? The only reason I can think of is if you were going to run big wide dogs like American Bulldogs or Rottweilers. A wider belt is heavier.

    I don't really like how that belt spins. Either that dog doesn't run the mill very well or the belt is heavy. That is a big dog and it does not seem like he is moving the belt really easily.

    No!! The 12 inch is a lil tight. Maybe good for the smaller show dogs low 40 to 30 pounders. I had several in the pas and 15 inch wide is perfect. Never owned big dogs. Dogs weighinh in the 40's work excellent with the 15" width.

    Actually I think the 13.5" wide is perfect. It has 1/2" thick slats and can handle heavier dogs than the 15" with less belt weight and still has plenty of room.
