'Cowboy' Bloodline ???

Newbe here *waves* (bare with me, i'm just starting to learn more and trying to understand the bloodlines and breed ) Ok for the past year I have been really getting to like the pit bull breed and I have been thinking of One day owning one myself (but not anytime soon) I see alot of pits were I live and from my understand so far APBT, American Pit Bull Terriers are rather lanky. They rarely get over 65lbs to 75Lbs I hear alot around where i live about people calling about a Bloodline called " cowboy and Razor edge", Now I've read that Cowboy is not a pure Pit bull bloodline. it begin is breed a Bullbog/mastiffs. most people I see claiming bloodlines like Blue pit / cowboy. the dogs are, stockier then what I see on this site and other ABPT sites. i thought she was talking about cowboy from wildside kennel, but then she mentioned razors edge and i was lost?

 

yeah I'm lost to. I hear people ( in my town ) talking about it as the bloodline they Call " cowboy" as far as kennel, no. It more toward this bloodline i hear about here called "cowboy' as in traits in the breeding of the dog. i don't know know where the line started. or even if these 'breeders' in my town know were it started. they seem to have a more stocky and very large head. sorry if i'm concussing anyone, mostly doing it to myself

probably just a bunch of people who do nothing but talk and brag about their dogs. if they seem to be breeding dogs based on size and looks, then they aren't people you should feel obligated to associate with. they might have created their own bloodline from a foundation dog they had and named the line "cowboy", but i have never heard of it personally.

 

Sounds like someone just repeating a bloodline they have heard. I have heard this many times. I ask them which cowboy are they talking about and all I ever get is a blank stare. I try to clarify my question, but to no avail. My advice is avoid these guys and their dogs until you are able to do some homework. This site is a good place to start. Read some old threads and you will soon be able to tell what is what.

my freinds wife has bullies and breeds em she has cowboy,white rhino? I guess and cracker....uncle cracer stuff? I guess with those dogs if u like the looks temp and if there healthy ur good?

I'm understanding now, as far as i know. the breeder hasn't givin any info on the bloodlines of her/ his dogs, other then calling them Cowboy/blue pit bull mixed and thats quoting her/him

Like I said before get as far away from these mutts as you can. Unless you want trashy dogs.

 

is wsk's cowboy a blood line? I really dont know never looked in wsk dogs figured it was jeep HB Rascal...which is some good stuff eli carver.

 

u right mm...we im from thats wat we call them....i kno the backgrounds to the dog...if anybody where im from say they have a cowboy dog we ask off which one meaning midnight, shorty, or b-line's......even though shorty and midnight come from bullyson...its just a thing we do im from....lol
