the bible is very interesting if you read the old testament . i like genesis there's alot of good reading there that will make you think . and what about the son's of god ?

 

I agree with everybody who says that if you read the bible it's simple to understand? Grew up in a Christian home so it's hard not be a believer.

A lil off topic but I get confused at times a deeply question myself and belief when it comes to this.

I like studying genetics a selective breeding and I do believe in darwins theory of evolution. God made Adam and Eve! But as Darwin stated we evolved. Could you believe in selective breeding and the theory of evolution and also be a believer of Christianity and Catholicism etc? I always ask myself this

I see but I feel if that's the case and they do believe in evolution then a lot of the bible has to change. I'm just saying the way we breed dogs for certain traits and and other things totally contradicts what the bible says in a way. But it's also hard not to believe when u do breed and get the results that you were trying to get. A old school dog vs fast lane dog in a way is evolution also.

From what I can remember, they were angels or servants of the LORD telling Abraham that his wife will have a son one day. Further on, it talks about how Sarah couldn't believe it so she sent her maidservant to lay with Abraham which resulted in the birth of Ishmael, but he was not the promised son God told Abraham about. Yet later, Issac was born to Sarah and Abraham, the rightful heir to the nation. From this moment on, a riff would be had between Ishmael and Isaac. This is the beginning of the struggle between the ancestors of Ishmael (Muslims) and Isaac (Jews). Interesting stuff for sure.

Yes, the LORD and Jesus both use I AM to denote being their eternal being.

Quick note, the phrase "I AM" was only used by God, which lends credence to Jesus being one with God in the triune.

It's simple to understand on the surface. Once you start reading about Jewish history, the rise of the torah, church history, etc...things get pretty crazy. In Judaism, much of Genesis is seen as allegory, meaning Adam was not a single man, but stood for mankind as a whole. Looking at Genesis as allegory and not literally allows the belief in evolution and poses no contradiction to belief in God.

Allegory again. The snake has always been seen as a lowly and sly animal, bent on evil. Here you have an evil being tricking a person by planting seeds of doubt into their head.

I don't believe there was an actual snake that told a single woman to eat some fruit and if she did she would gain knowledge of good and evil. It's symbolism, poetry, and allegory that paint a bigger picture, answering philosophical questions.

It would take a convoy of 10 or better, and then it would boil down to who has the deepest roots, or the biggest family.
I am safe in my house. I would be living in the woods if i did not feel so. That may not be a far off reality soon enough.

i'm more ready than most if something happens . and your not safe in your home . tell me how are you safe in your own home because you have no rights . the act of 1871 and the 14 th amendment says you a corporation and you and you don;'t own your kids . now with obamacare they can come in and inspected your home anytime they want .

Truth be told that only ~20% of the government is shut down. It's been hyped up by media to gain viewers and make people worry. It's been shut down 17 times since 1977 and we're still here. My only fear is when the government is actually up and running. lol....

But really, why call it a government shut down when 80% of the government is still up and running? Unless you were taking a trip to a national park or had a field trip to the Smithsonian, this won't affect you.
