Times like these is when you hope your head coach has a good plan B....really and truly it can happen to anybody including Alabama.

So true. All of them are just one snap away from being done. It is a part of the game. At that level Plan A is only a snap away and few have a plan B at the QB level. Ohio State's progression to the 3rd guy and winning that title has already happened in our life time, so I would not look for another. LOL

Maybe Alabama is the only team in the country that could lose those two LB's and have two more with no drop off.

That looked to be the fastest Alabama defense top to bottom I have seen in the Saban era, maybe ever. Any 11 on the field just simply gets to the ball.

If Scarborough stays healthy and whoever calls the plays keeps the ball on the ground to keep that defense off the field some I can't see Bama giving up more than 10-12 points a game, if that.

I thought he was the difference in the title game. With his running Clemson would have had one of not two, less possessions in the 2nd half.

But like I said at the top, all of them are one snap away.

As a long time FSU fan, I'm just hoping for 8-10 wins. It would be asking a lot for the young man to step in and PRODUCE. I hope he can, but I assume this will be another "rebuild" year. I hope Frenchy can get that medical redshirt...

Winning out will be a tall order for FSU, even before the QB loss.
The ACC is ever improving in football. FSU no longer has that separation it enjoyed for so long.

    Top to bottom I agree.

I thought Clemson's QB looked good. After the last two years there was sign after Saturday's game that said Deshaun who?

I think Carolina can score but they still can't defend. I bet they had 20 snaps with their defense half set, D lineman half way between a stance and standing up. Just not ready. Looked bad.

I'd still say the Alabama is the class of the field after week #1.

I think the QB play was the weakest point in the SEC last year..I think it's better this year but how much ? We shall see.I still think ACC has the best coaching.Jim Mc and Florida I thought would have been much improved in his 3 rd year but that's not looking good.Florida is a beast to,just needs a driver .Talent rich state .Im not sold on Orgeron at LSU either or Butch Jones at Tenn .3 right there lol.To early to tell on Kirby Smart at Georgia .Muschamp and South Carolina looked good I though but we will see.Kentucky is Kentucky lol.Ole Miss has a unproven Coach and they have a hell of a QB but they on probation anyway lol.I am interested to see what Mason and Vamdy will do thier QB played about a perfect game Saturday .

It is like the Florida teams should need nothing more than tap into the local high schools. LOL

I'm thinking Herman at Texas will get it together. I think he is a better recruiter, especially in state.

I think Orgeron is a players coach. I'm not sure if he will sell that to the rest of the world. I've read where he is a top notch recruiter and then at the same time not so much. Not sure on that. I think LSU was only a handful of downfield passes from a couple more national titles under Miles. It will be interesting to see how much Coach O opens up the offense.

Alabama is Alabama. Health and play calling is all that stands between them and another title.

Slim what do you think about the Clemson Vs Auburn this weekend ?

I have not read much about Auburn so if there defense is like it was last year Clemson should put up some points.

Clemson's defense did not get a much of a test last week so that will be a question as well. Clemson lost some key players on defense from last year but have three or four really good linebackers, and two top notch defensive ends.

I'm going to go with Clemson, and when I pick it should usually spot Auburn two touchdowns. LOL

I'm going with Clemson to.Auburns D is improved with experience and depth but I still like Clemson.I don't know how much the Auburn D has improved but they have the peaces to be much better this year on that side of the ball.

    Work sucks. LOL

I watched the Clemson game, flipped to the others but fell asleep in the chair after a 15 hour day.

I'm split. I can't see Auburn's O line being that bad, and find it hardtop believe Clemson's front 7 is that good. 11 sacks and missed maybe three or four more on missed hand tackles. I'm going to lean toward 60% on the Clemson D and the other 40% on Auburn's shaky line.

I liked Bryant. I think he should stay in the pocket a little more, a little more pass first run second, and most importantly learn to slide. The first two will not matter if he can't get down feet first.

I woke up in time to see the QB get drilled on the 'slow to take a knee' on the next to last snap.

I got about 2 quarters in. Hoping for more next weekend. LOL

Slim the Auburn O Line was to be a strong point.2 of them came back this year instead of going into the draft. They also have a fifth year senior as a center lol.Clemson really got after the Auburn QB .Gus M named Stidham the starter over White early in fall camp.White led the SEC in passing efficiency last year .Hmmmm. But wouldn't have mattered Against Clemson because White was suspended for failing a drug test lol.But white is eligible now so I'm interested to see if Gus is still going to stick with the Stidham kid.Wouldnt have mattered if they would have had Joe Montana in Clemson on Saturday night..11 sacks is aweful lol.

That was my thinking. I was split as the defenses were dominant. I thought Auburn's defense bent all night but it never broke.

The MVP of that game had to be the hot tub. It was brutal. Or at least the 2 or 3 quarters I watched. I nodded a little.

Dabo said the D ends and front four were going to be special. The Stidham kid took a beating and never had a clear throwing lane all night. They had a few drops as well when he did have time to make a clean throw.

And I had forgotten about White. I guess I was thinking he graduated/left. I did not remember the off season stuff til reading your post. A tad bit more patience, and a little quicker delivery. But you are right, it may have turned 11 sacks into 9. LOL

I watched the Louisville-Carolina highlights and Carolina really made Jackson the Heisman front runner. There is no way D-1 team should regress defensively three years in a row. Again this week, they had 10-15 defensive snaps where they were simply just getting to the line. Pitiful. it is not often in football you can average 32.5 points per game and be 0-2. We got the scoring down but we can't tackle. Makes for a long year.

Stidham would have still got the start over White even if White would have been available.Gus will choose to put a athlete at QB instead of a natural QB such as White......Stidham is the better athlete and that's what Gus loves.

I can't agree with the first four, maybe 2 of the four and I will leave it at that.

So many of the Top 10 tens have head to head games remaining that today's 4 is pretty much meaningless. Other than a 30 minutes commercial packed segment on ESPN.

I can't imagine a coach in the nation is really worried about it on November 1st.

However, Teams numbers #4, #5, #6 will most definitely start campaigning on Dec. 1st.

SEC is way down this year.Be more than one coaching position available at the end of the year.Bama perhaps has the best QB in the nation on the bench behind Hurts lol
