A friend of mine and I were discussing Fournette not playing the bowl game in preps for going pro. McCafferey from Stanford then does the same.

I hope this is not the start of a trend. If they are banged up or not healthy then I can see it but for me it is a knock on them as a teammate. That offensive guard who has taken a beating all year in order for the highlight guys to be on ESPN is going to suit up for who ever is running the ball behind him. I would think others would do the same. Maybe I am too old school but that looks like a character issue.

I liken it to the coaches leaving for the big job prior to the bowl game and leaving the kids hanging. "I need you to run thru that brick wall for me, but if I get a chance for greener pastures, I'm outta here".

But then when they list salaries and bonuses and contracts, I guess I can understand. LOL. I'd leave my job in a heart beat and pump gas across the road for a 4 year deal for 20 million. LOL

All they need to do is take out an insurance policy for the game like Jaylon Smith did last year. Yeah, he dropped in the draft but the insurance more than made up for it.

Just wait till these kids start sitting out their third season, honestly makes me sick. Bunch of pussies this generation.

A few years ago I Cincinatti was going to back end to the national title picture but Kelly bailed in November and the team did not respond well.

I think the coaches/universities contracts should prevent them from leaving til the end of the season at least.

The players are not contracted, except when leaving.

Without the best defense in the country Lane Kiffin's play calling would cost Alabama a title. How does Scarborough not finish the game with like 20-25 carries? They could not stop him yet Kiffin threw the ball enough to give Washington three, maybe four possessions they should not have had in the 2nd half.

I am not sure why the bus driver stopped.

We're lucky the best two teams are playing for the National Championship. Bama is going to blow out Clemson...take bama straight up spread.

If Lane Kiffin runs number 9 more in the first half that score is worse than 24 to 7.Bo Scarborough is a beast.

If Clemson uses the 3 and 5 step drops Watson will be shelled. Last night he three straight drops and was sacked all three times. The mis direction and the jet sweep motion can make a fast team, especially a fast team that gets to the ball, over run plays. Alabama is susceptible to the cut back and inside traps. I think Clemson can score on Alabama I just am not so sure Clemson can stop Alabama.

I'm not saying #9 should have ran the ball 40 times but 13 was far too low. 20-25 carries and they put up two or three more touchdowns.

Lane Kiffin may be Clemson's best chance.

I am now really pulling for PSU over USC more than ever. A great PSU showing should put some egg on the face of the selection committee.

I picked Clemson, but I thought they would need 35-40 to win, not just 1 point. OSU got exposed in almost every facet of the game.

SDSU vs Houston and PSU vs USC were the two bowl games I was most excited this yr. My Aztecs put a whoopin on em... Pumphrey is legit! Gonna be interesting where he goes in the draft.

Wasn't the best game they played all year for sure Niko.I mean the first pass of the game by Jalen H was way off and should have been picked.I said right then they been practing for 5 weeks and your first throw is that far off? We all know the first few plays are scripted so Jalen should have thrown that pass about what 50 times in practice lol. They just did not look sharp and I don't know what was up and should have ran the ball a lot more.Im thinking Nick just chalked it up to Lane not being 100 percent committed at this point in time. They were off for sure.
