Go to the emergency vet if you have not already done so (some PetSmart Banfield vets are open on Sunday so that may be a cheaper option).

Please reconsider breeding any dog until you and the stud's owner have more experience. However, I understand how sometimes people can downplay things because they are afraid to accept it may be something serious. We do that with our own ailments.

So many things can go wrong during breeding, pregnancy and whelping that one needs to know when to act quickly. A person may not recoginize exactly what is wrong (not even vets have seen everything), but they need to have a sense for when an immediate visit to the vet is warranted. People should always have the vets emergency numbers or the number of an emergency clinic.

Personally, if it was my dog, I would have had the dog in the car and driving to the vet while calling ahead to let them know I was coming as soon as I saw something like that.

Hope all goes well and that it isn't serious. Please let us know how she is.
