    anyone know what bloodlines any of the Petey's where from? I had someone tell me once they had a friend with a dog down from Petey, but he couldn't tell me the bloodline, which made me question the whole thing.

    Was it still legal then,and when did bulldogs start to stop being america's dog and why..and don't tell me it was because of the pit.

    I believe it was legal until 1978 (I believe that was the date). From what I've seen it was the 80s/90s, that less than favorable people (i.e. drug dealers, Hoods, White Trash) started to own them more as a Symbol, and that's when they were seen more as less favorable themselves, but I could be wrong.
