places like pertco or petsmart will have the Bitter Apple spray, and it usually is all the deterent they need. some harder headed dogs will need a bit more- like habenero or scott bonnet pepper juice rubbed on the house

That also helped me out. My dog chews on his plastic kennel pan and I just had to buy new one today. He also chews and shakes the dog house on his chain spot. I am going to look for some spray next time i'm out.

One thing that is working well for me is getting them a new house and leaving them the old one to play with. I have a little gyp that tore up houses 2 to 3 times her size. Also if space permits isolate the dog from the rest to cut down the agitation.

  9. I've read somewhere that the perfect place for such dogs is a hole like a well where the dog is surrounded by nothing but bricks, cement or what not. You need a ladder to go back and up everytime to attend to the dog though.

I thought we just went over the solution to this problem in another thread that was deleted.
