Mine had an old Ford truck. Straight six, straight gear, rough but he loved that old truck.

My Pops and I were into the 69-72 Chevrolet trucks. We did a couple over the years. I did a couple of 71 Blazers. Like a lot of stuff I wish I never sold any of them. Currently doing a 69 short bed 4 wheel drive. 383 stroker is at the machine shop. It has been a long haul on the truck. I either have a little money or a little time, never both at the same time. LOL

Good looking old Jeep. My wife has a 2006 Jeep Rubicon but it's a girl's Jeep as it has an automatic transmission. LOL

Stihl weedeaters are alright. Toro...meh. Go with the commerical brands. Shindaiwa or Redmax. I personally would not use anything but redmax if I get a weedeater for commercial purposes.

Here's one of my Stihl MS 660. I had another pic of another MS660 but for some reason it will not let me upload it, supposedly too big of a file, dont understand why if the pic is with the same camera. Anyway, wait till I show you a pic of my 880.

Shindawa is good stuff with a big price tag lol.I graduated high school and thought k was gonne take the summer off lol.Well the Monday after graduation I aas laying in bed hung over and my bad awakes me and said come on , its time tto go to work.So I remind him I don't have a job and he replies yes you do.I get up and get ready and he gave me a brand new pair of Redwings work boots. He got me a job as summer help for the company he worked for.I take a physical and a drug test right on the spot , how I passsed I haven't a clue.I go to the supervisor who I got stuck with lol and he hands me a brand new Shindawa weedeater and I ask where do you want me to cut ? He said where ever you see grass ! For 3 months I weedeated 8 hrs a day with a Shindawa weed eater so yes I am verry familiar with them. They are top of the line. This was back in 1990.Shindawa is a beast. No doubt.

Sort of the same here. When we finished a barn, or finished up we were doing he had no problem farming me out to whoever needed help.

I graduated boot camp in December and flew home over Christmas. I got in about 3AM on a Friday night. I fell in my bed for the first time in months. 6AM Pops swings the door open and says we're setting trusses on the neighbor's barn. It was like I was 15, not a 18 year old graduate from boot camp ready to see the world.

He put a value on work.

About to slide a pair of wolverines on now. Stayed with my mother-in-law last night. Late getting started today.

    I'm guessing
I'm guessing corn bread 1st. My second guess would be a homemade chicken pot pie. My grandma made them with the corn bread topping.

Thats a nice saw.I got the 271 its enough for what I do.I'm actually going to buy a smaller one next for pruning and limbs. Echo has a nice little saw I may try or I may go with Stihl.Prob will go with Stihl , I've had good luck with Stihl.

I didn't read the whole thread bama but i have seen some pretty crafty ways of making log splitting much easier. I seen a video of these Russians that made one and that thing was very simple, though it involved weights and a spring, looked really easy to make, would go through wood like butter.

Yea I have saw lots of home made splitters. If I heated my home with wood I'm sure I'd look for a easier way.The wood I burn is just for outside , campfire.Just for fun mostly , its kinda rewarding to split your own wood but like I said , I don't heat my home with it.

They dont make any brand of chainsaw like thy used to but stihl is always the best option for chainsaws. MS 201 is an expensive choice for a homeowner pruning saw. The MS 193 is a decent saw if you buy it new but all of the EPA bullshit on it make it a far cry from the MS 192. If I run into a fairly good condition used MS192 I would buy it, but then again I know the little details that give away an abused saw not worth buying. Your final option would be an MS 150 but it would only be for fine pruning, nothing too big, unless you know how to keep that chain razor sharp.

These are all top handle chainsaws like the ms 200 on my profile pic....so be careful if you buy one of these. Anything rearhandle that is not an MS360 or larger I have not used but I do know that they are not worth my investment. I would rather invest in a good professional grade saw and have it last my lifetime than a homeowner saw that will invariably breakdown in a year of use, though Stihl does keep a high standard of quality....but I am biased. I have one stihl ms460 that is over 10 years old and still running strong like I had just bought it.
