Ch Davis' Midnight Cowboy

I purchased a 4-1/2 year old male yesterday with this dog Davis' "Midnight Cowboy" in his pedigree several times from the top to the bottom. Does anybody know anything about this dog.

Thanks FIFTY, that's the dog. Well it looks like I have a good one. His ped is full of Mim's and Uselton's as well. As soon as I get the time I'll add him to my web site and remove two.

 

Baker Davis & Margret Davis Lived in Flordia at that time . Baker is still alive . She has past away . A family mimber to them live next door to me . Midnight Cowboy is a bitch dog & I think all black . I have seen many photos of Midnight cowboy . However they are mostly black & white . She was a fighting dog . As well as a loved family mimber . Things have changed alot from then . But they are still great dog's .you may want to look to see if Davis "Boomer" is in the blood line as well.

My boy has some of this dog in his line waaaaayyyyy back, but this clip obviously shows this dog was a BOY!!!!

LOVE the midnight cowboy stuff. Just as Triple J said a few months ago...can you say MOUTH!

 

like 50 said sired by Bullyson produced many good dogs one of the most famous and that has produced some good ones is hands happy jack who produced a dog named crackerjack (double bred happy jack )which is heavy midnight cowboy. Tight bullyson blood.

 

is it true that bullyson was a manbiter, and a pretty bad one at that? I've read a story about him and thats what it says, i wonder has he thrown that trait at all

Half way down the page...looks like he certainly challanged a man named Bobby Hall:

When Bobby Hall owned Bully he was attacked, when he walked his run. Bobby had a large mouth shovel in his hand and he went upside Bully's head and put Bully on his backside, then was just able to get out of Bully's run before he came to his feet and came for him again. This occurred numerous times until the last when Bobby put the shovel in one hand and held it beside him and said "Come here Son." "Bully son come to me" and Bully then walked over to Bobby's feet and waged his tail. Bobby said he stuck out his hand to him and he licked his hand, then Bobby walked over and shoveled up his dung. From that day Bobby changed his name from Bully to Bullyson.

Moral to the story: never challange a Dogger with a shovel in his hand....

Here is an excerpt from an interview w/ Floyd Boudreaux concerning Bullyson:

"I remember one incident with Bullyson when he was at my place, Jerry Clemmons brought the dog to me to be tested and one day while I was cleaning up around his chain, he tried to bite me. Before he could put his mouth on me I hit him hard with a shovel and knocked him out. After this happened, he never at my place tried to bite anyone again. If a dog is a man biting dog, I don’t like them and if they try to bite me or my family, it’s a dead dog."

I have to admit, the shovel thing works. When I had beagles, I had one that would bite. One day he went for my face & I whanged him a good one w/ a shovel, knocking him out cold. After he came to, he never offered to bite again!

i asked jerry clemmons (the one who bred bullyson) about that statement and was told that the dog was called bullyson before Bobby hall ever got him from his yard.

This is to the Watcher . Do You Know Who Leach's Dego Is & LiDo Is ? If so What did they looked like ? In the blood line of my pup . But I Can't find Photos on line .
Also thank you for putting me in my place . I went back to see my photos of him ( Midnight Cowboy ) as a puppy he dose have white on his chest . That is the only photos of him I have . I've seen other photos but it didnt show all the parts . So My Bad !
