any of y'all got bulldogs that will socialize together? I have 2 females that are bonified bulldogs proven on multiple occasions that will chill together. It's actually pretty cool to let them be together.
They are only good with each other and have no social interest in other dogs.

Personally I don't at the moment. But I do have a couple that won't bother a cat.I have a cat that's been hanging around since he was a kitten , he is very smart.Got a couple dogs thatddon't even pay him any attention but he is smart enough not to go in the chain spot.I have saw him go to the edge of these 2 dogs spot and I mean close enough for the dogs to grab and kill him.Cat will roll over on his back and the dogs just smell him and nudge him with thier nose a littlebit.

Just goes to show some of these folks, these dogs are only as smart as you allow them to be.
Im still waiting for some of these "cats" no pun intended to start up their dumb talk. Some of the shit I read on a daily bases regarding these dogs really makes me shake my head.
I some times wonder was I ever that dumb when I first decided to get involved with the dogs?? I sure hope not!!

I just dont get why anyone wants to prove to provecan be done.I have a couple that do but they are always supervised...I have a buddy that didn't want to listen and he came home to a gruesome scene when his girlfriend left two dogs unsupervised that had got along fine for 5yrs prior...one dead dog with it's head almost removed.Do what you want just don't cry about it when something goes wrong

Why in the hell would you want to loose game bred dogs together? This is the stupidest post I have ever seen.

While I don't attempt it anymore since in my experience, 22 years worth of trying it, It typically will end it utter failure and 1 or 2 banged up dogs. I was able to get my M.I.A bitch and her daughter Lil Miss Geach to not only coexist but they become fairly inseparable for years. 7.5 to be exact. Neither would tolerate other dogs/animals. Lil Miss Geach barely tolerates her own pups let alone any other animals. M.I.A. was always good with any pups, hers or not. However, juveniles to adults she wouldn't do.

These 2 dogs slept together, ate in the same room together out of separate bowls, went into a crate together almost everyday for those 7.5 years when I was at work, or they just ran free in my house, depending on my mood that day. Never had an issue with those 2 ever, not once. I don't believe it to be the norm however, with the right dog it's very possible to have 2 together. I don't recommend it, but it's possible.

Every once in a while a dog will come along that knows when it's time to work and when it's time to just be a dog.

I trusted them both enough that they were left unsupervised countless amounts of time with no incidents, other than merking my daughters mothers cat together. They could also be around each other when either had a litter of pups on the ground. Many times, co-raising each other's litters.

For every person that doubts how docile a bulldog can be there is a bulldog that will prove them wrong...

It takes both a certain bulldog(s),,, person and understanding with plenty of variables...

It takes a even more to leave them unsupervised but has been done but in most cases shouldn't,,,
Its one thing for them to tolerate another because of human interference but to be passive is not as rare as most would think,,,
my favorite example is Burton's/Patricks'/Giroux'/Captian America's Gr Ch Hank and his uncle Jimmy Boots showed the same restraint...

    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=355
I think a Gr Ch Hank is on one end of the spectrum with Gr Ch Zebo at the other that dont tolerate dogs nor people,,,
I would like to think that a higher percentage of good dogs are in the middle of the two
or lean towards being more docile as Hank and not the killing machine of Zebo...

Alot of variables from the individuals,,,family to upbringing and age to take into account...

Some INDIVIDUALS are just DOCILE period,,, some to the point of being cold all around...
Chances of one of the dogs being cold helps the situation as well as opposite sexes,,,
so two game dogs makes it more rare...

Some FAMILIES of bulldogs (Tobe ex Rose) are known to be more DOCILE,,, GENETICS...

Some its UPBRINGING,,, who they except being raised etc...
The ACE Gr Ch IBM and his sister BIZZY beat four champions combined but were raised together and enjoyed each others company...

Some its simply AGE,,, some young some old but alot not in their GOLDEN YEARS...
These two tolerated each other supervised and were no harm to each other once their teen angst was worked out,,,lol...
    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=12087
This dog was very smart and docile and passed it for many generations...
    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=99149
Jr was nasty when handeled as alot of paz dogs were but aged into a easy bulldog,,, rare for his family...

    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=289393
this dog and his best daughter would rather run the yard and tease them until they found a friend to play with staying out of harms way...
as far as his quality,,, he was an ACE that only met solid bulldogs and beat a ch off mtz truck or sloppy joe from mx...

With Paz Jr being the exception,,,
We have had more docile dogs than not with dogs down from these lines especially crossed together...

More than anything its the type of dog owner that either allows or dont allow or want their bulldogs to have canine companions...

A good man on this site recalled Gr Ch Soga and another great female being walked out together before their matches,,,
rare two game dogs of high skill level,,, more rare in peeked keep!!!
    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=231848
most rare,,, TRUE BLUE GR CH!!!

I ain't saying it cant be done, but why is this subject so important to Bulldog people?....If it's your dream to have dogs that get along together, why not get another breed???

    Agreed, Niko.

I would be willing to bet that the majority of the cases where these dogs can coexist are the cases like AGK stated. Mother/daughter type situations. Or at least ones that grew up together, with one being a small puppy when they started bonding. Then they tend to look at the other dog as a mother type figure and not a threat. Not to say that those situations all work out that way or that there's not other cases where it happened. Just saying that's the most likely scenario.

Well, for myself anyway, It was never important that they get along. I totally expected them not to at some point in time. Just sort of, never happened. It's not something I recommend anyone doing. It was however, very convenient for me living in the city to be able to keep them 2 indoors. Without it being a time consuming thing to me as far as making sure one don't spent too much time in a crate and the constant rotating of who's going in a crate next.
People seem to think these dogs are machines. They arent, they are a living creature that can learn, show emotion and many times, figure things out on their own with some guidance by the person caring for them. I know many of the hardcore doggers believe that the pack mentality is not in this breed however, It's a dog plain and simple. I don't believe that as I seen the pack mentality between those 2 and even a few others for the short time they were in my home. Seeing it daily changed my mind on what others say. How's that saying go? The proof is in the pudding. I ate that pudding for over 7 years. kind of hard to believe someone else's opinion on it if you witnessed it first hand for years. Like treez said, I don't believe it to be common but it can and does happen. EP gave you other's that also have done it, hell, even zebo was cool with the owners cat. Like EP stated, it takes a special dog, owner and circumstances. Even with all that, it's still more likely to end in failure or an accident. Sometimes though, it can actually work out. Again though, I don't recommend anyone trying it.

I think most dogmen , I mean ones with bigger yards, just don't have the time to invest in such a thing. Especially when you realize that more than likely it will end in failure.

I've always had dogs around that got along or grew up to tolerate each other as adults. In the majority of cases it was as both trees/agk said pups growing, being raised up around another. Only on a couple of occasions have I known of proven dogs that weren't brought up together get along.
I wouldn't say it's a bloodline thing as I've had em from many imo it's more to do with the individual dogs and how the owners raise em. That's not to say I'd recommend setting out to do it, I've a couple of crazies here that'll make a lie out of everything I've just said.

I have had litters that got along great but always had one or two hot heads that had to be removed.Even the ones that got along great , I realized it was just a matter of time .So for everyone's safety thier comes a time when I seperate the whole litter. This is the best way , especially if your not at home to watch them.I have noticed though with mine , once seperated and put on the chain after about a week , even less for some , they will no longer tolerate one another.Imo leaving them together is just prolonging the inevitable.
