In a old 1936 book [The American Pit bull Terrier] / The history of fighting dogs, in the glossary, it gives the definition of a color referred to as Grizzly. A bluish/grey color. However IMO, todays so called blues/bully breeds that are being registered as Apbt's are a disgrace to The Worlds greatest breed. I was told years ago by Tom Garner that in all his years of breeding, He has never had a blue bulldog. Obviously he has seen lots of litters over the years.......

That's right nothing more nothing less and I for one am with Tom garner you could not give me a blue bulldog.

 

Bred a white dog to a white with a little brindle patch bitch,both 75 per cent related blood ,neither had any blue in background except ricky or psycho with tiny patches,but these were only a small part of the ped. 8 pups whelped,one had blue eye patches on white background.They both shared a black and white grandam.I wouldnt slag a dog coz of colour,it depends how that colour came about. That blue would share the same traits as its siblings i should imagine.

 

Like I said I had a blue out of angel and Conan good dog the psycho stuff did throw blues but all I asked is how the blue got there? I've never bred a litter but have seen a variety of colour and have all got the same chance the red strain bred true to colour except the odd Black and Tan.
And know I wouldn't want or keep a blue bulldog just my preference.

Both were extinct before the invention of the camera, and neither are relevant to our current bulldogs.
