* Bill 132 Court Case Update *​

So why is the legal challenge decision taking so long? The reason is that the Government has been introducing new information since the court hearing (which was held in May 2006).



Cross-examinations of this new information will start on November 16, 2006 and will wrap up on November 28, 2006. The court hearing for this new information has been set for December 21, 2006.



We may or may not have a decision on the entire case this year. Let's keep positive and keep raising funds and awareness!

Thanks for the update. I've always said that this was a fascist piece of legislation. Police are allowed to raid your house and steal your pet if some low-life decides to shake your world by lying about your dog? I'm sure that Goebbels is revelling in this injustice. He probably figures that in a hundred years the breed specific legislation can be used against the two footed kind of animal. What a bunch of sickos. Just thinking that it was a friend of mine that started the petition in the Attorney General's office against pit bulls makes me angry. I guess that they think they'll be able to spend their way out of this mess is nothing more than a travesty against taxpayers. I guess that they think that they'll be able to bamboozle the judiciary just like they did the ordinary citizens of the province. Hope they aren't trying the case in front of their appointments to the bench.

Don't want to scoop the thread. I look forward to seeing it. I'm also looking forward to seeing how this case will resolve itself towards December's end. Hope it's not a lump of coal from some myopic panel. This was supposed to be over and done with two or three weeks after the May court date. I would like to see the text of the information that the government has proffered as proof of their case. It would be nice to have the transcript of the court case during those sessions. Maybe there is one somewhere?

 

There is a board that listed the transcripts from the May date, I'll look around and see if I can find the new info.....

Lots of reading on this website about the court battle in May, they are pretty up to date on this so should have the new court info soon.

It is a read and a half. Lot of work by the journalist. I guess that the actual transcript is what I had in mind.Someone's interpretation, although well-done, doesn't give me the information that I require. The fact that the govrnet had to stoop to this level is par for the course for that kind of mentality. I get the feeling that they are going to innundate the Court with nothing and slip a few unsubstantiated proofs of the dog's vicious behaviour. Wonder who their experts are? Whatever. If you get a lead on the transcripts... let me know. Has anyone complained to the media about the attrition that is being used to stifle dissent? Not rreading the sun daily. Can't comment on it if it has made it into the paper and I don't know where it is or what it said. If it hasn't??????
