OK, I am a cow beef addict, but bison beef is tenderer, leaner, and beefier tasting, and the price is the only aspect that keeps me from buying only bison beef. In addition bison is hypoallergenic. Which species do you prefer?

I love both, eat a lot more beef than bison due to cost and availability. I prefer bison, it’s healthier, and taste better!

Beef tastes better hands down bison is lean like chewing on a work boot. Beef may not be as healthy as bison but I could care less. Have ate a lot of both no comparison beef tastes better. Anyone who says other wise is just fooling them self.

Where I live is known for some of the best beef in the world so maybe that's why. All I know is our bison does not compare with our beef. I gave bison a good chance and it failed to tuff and dry not enough fat marbling for me. The only people that buy it here are health freaks.

In fairness I have only had ground bison and ribeyes, so there was enough fat to keep it from being dry. Most of the beef I eat is grass fed, it’s much healthier than grain fed and I like the taste too, but again I get ribeyes so there is plenty of fat!

Good beef is hard to beat as far as taste. For sure isnt the healthier alternative .I love a good Ribeye but I usually settle for a good New York strip its leaner than a ribeye but very good when cooked right.I try to stay away from chain grocery stores and buy my meat from private ,local butchers.Quality is better imo.

I'm not very picky, I will and do eat both. I'm more of a porterhouse guy myself and a good Black Angus Porterhouse is hard to beat. I have not ever had tough Bison meat though, it's always been very tender meat that I've had.. Maybe It's how it was cooked or what part of the beast the cut came from?

All our livestock up here are grain fed.
