They can both be fast, but a lighter dog has more advantage...picture a greyhound and a great dane hunt a rabbit. A great dane can still be athletic but i dont see him catch that rabbit as easy.

Over 100lbs still fast but probably not as fast as a 70lbs comparable dog...

Btw a relatively new working breed thats comming up is a american panja mastiff, and seem to make good family dogs and they say CAN be good with children...gamebred pitbulls crossed with rotweilers and mastiffs (sounds like a one dog army)

Where about are you? I know a couple guys doing the cross. No one with a web site or anything like that. Jut some guys that like the cross because they work. Most pups go to friends or local hunters.

should say -us- not use. Inkman, yes Manson Family Bandog does have some very nice animals that work. They usually do not sell dogs to the general public but if someone had a history of working dogs they might. You can find them on FB to find out. Manson, the pillar dog and the start of their program is the grandsire to my main dog Slim. That dog, Manson, has put in a lifetime of solid work and started a top notch family.
Also, someone mentioned creating inferior animals. There is one aspect the APBT is the best there is. If your not looking for that exact trait other dogs may fit your needs better. A good bandog can be a very rough athlete that can get many jobs done.

Cappy is a good looking puppy. How heavy you estimate at full maturity?

Is he showing any natural protectiveness/stranger suspicion?

Thank you. Id say in the 75 - 85 lb range when mature. Most of these crosses turn out more friendly than having what I would call Natural protectiveness. They will bark at strangers coming by the house but would they protect in a real situation? Never had the situation come up to say for sure. When away from the yard they dont just walk up to strangers, they stay by me but when I shake hands or whatever then they go in for some attention too. Id say no one is just going to be able to walk onto my yard and steal one tho.

Nice. My understanding is some of the AB lines have proven solid in various aspects of man work.

Nice looking dogs. I had a bandgogge from BLock Buster (C.C.) 147 lbs LEAN. neo/EM ect ect not giving out the KFC recipe.
Also had a Bull mastiff bandogge from her. 110 lbs. fit . I also had a bitch form Thunderdome (Mario) . A bit smaller, then Blockbuster's
In 1991 I had a rotti/Pit mix "bandogge" outta Martin's in Long island. Being as such, I found a good Corso much Hotter
than most Bands' excluding the Martin dog. I have also owned Donovan Pinchers. google it if interested in protection dogs.
A good Corso is a lot of dog. Too much for most PET owners. I have dealt with a PRESA or 2 that is too much also.
A Hot Corso is like a 90 lb Pit that man-bites. No one really needs this around family/friends .

  19. I love this post I know it's old but I feel me and u got the same mindset on our dogs
