aussie dogs

hey all i am from australia and have a bitch with , Tom Cat gr ch tank in her peds ,three gens back, and just want some info on tank from anyone who knows of what happened to tank after getting to oz or any info before coming to oz, cant find a decent amount of info on him which is no surprise but am looking on finding out more. anyone that can help would be appreciated pm me if you like.

I saw Tank when he had been in the country about a year. And had the opportunity to own a son or daughter but kicking myself now didn't...
Tank went on to produce Aussie's best performance dog...a very unknown dog named "Astro".
It's a shame this amazing athlete never got the recognition he desevred. Could have been a world beater.

Wait a sec what astro you talking about? There was no astro that i would call a world beater. A decent one yes, but world beater no.

If memory serves me right Tank belonged to a gentleman down south that was umm how do i say this nicely... Borderline insane... He was in the dogs for the wrong reason... Money...

I'm not a fan of the stuff but thats just me. Anyhow it doesnt mean a good one cant come off him. Good luck with your bitch though.

the Astro I am talking about was Owned by Blackheart... and open to the country but dodged by everyone. Except one bloke and to his credit he kept trying. But no one wanted to match into him.

My dog Mistral Astro was not a son of tank. He was by Track x Pistol. Track was Vo Rogue x sentinel, bro/sis off Tank and Rebels Stormy. Pistol was Tank x Alida. I don't use the name Blackheart any more, it don't suit my lovely personality. LOL !

 

Also, that was my knl name before the Rollo Boys combine formed.

I'd agree with that. D.v. Being borderline insane that is. Tank was imported along with a heap of tight jeep bitches and the tight red boy bitch kittens buttercup. If my memory is right he had around three triple bred jeep bitches(jeep bred back to his own daughters three generations in a row) and the stud dog Swinsons cooney by jeep out of Swinsons born to win

 

I'd agree on that psychtiatic assessment. D.v. Imp tank along with a heap of brood bitches that if memory serves me right included three triple jeep bithes(jeep bred to his daughter three times in a row) as well as the pure redboy bitch kittens buttercup. He also imp the stud Swinsons cooney by jeep out of Swinsons born to win. Also he had rebel kennels stormy. With all this genetic material anyone could breed a decent one. Tank himself spent most his time in oz breeding bitches and eating his favourite mini apples off the tree near his kennel. A tank dog direct off mistral kennels was very expensive but when he moved he did offer some well bred stock and tank did throw some serious bulldogs. Most the jeep imports I believe were hand picked by Garrett himself as was buttercup.

 

Sorry for that repeat post, and if that's just useless info. Just tryin to help. Also d.v. Wouldn't be the only borderline insane person to take an interest in working dogs would he?lol

I had one off jeep jr and alida I think that was bred to a son of tanks. Not sure what's around today.

 

Sorry she was by Chico. The son of tank was by alida. This produced a dog that went boar hunting with a two time boar catcher from the states. And also produced some very well known dogs.

 

Did the ready red bitch go to aus or nz from the uk she was in pup to the milford dog i know the storm bitch went to nz,think she was honeybunch/neilson back in pup to neilson any of this stuff still about.
