Are presa canarios good dogs

El perro de presa canario es un perro raro ahora mismo. Puedes encontrar dogo canario ( stock and show dogs ). Pero el perro de presa canario es un perro de trabajo. La seleccion esta hecha por y con el trabajo. El dogo canario, el unico reconocido con la FCI , esta seleccionado por belleza y exposiciones.
Podemos comparar la diferencia a los amstaff y apbt....mas o menos
Uso unos en mi casa y nunca cambiare por otra raza.

The dysplasia is a really important problem for the breed. A lot of breeders don't practicate x-ray and continue to breed sick dogs.
A lot of breeders ( spanish and others ) are not serious and don't use x-ray and continue to breed bad bloodlines. It's not easy to find a good perro de presa canario for work ( Curto seems the best for it ) or dogo canario for show ( the actual world champion female is from France and actual young world champion is from Spain )

People Hate so much on the Alano it is ridiculous. I have had the opportunity to meet both breed the Alano and a watered down Dogo Canario and I have never met a more stable and confident breed in the Dogo I
Met. It displayed zero tough bluff dog Agression in front of many dogs and it also did not show Agression for people. He was indifferent to them and did not
Care about people at all but never agressive. It's funny how people bitch and moan and about their dogs gettin targeted by BSl and the media and people are doing the same to the Presa breed. Google pit bill attacks and see how many you find for this month lol

If you confine a lab to a kennel and never socialize it you can end up with a man biter lol people are the ones that ruin good dogs so they can look cool in their neighborhood.

 

By the way look how vicious they are, this the 120 pounder with my 7 pound chihuahua lol

As said already!
They can be great dogs to live with but they are natural guard dogs and capable ones, at least most of the ones I´ve seen.
So if these dogs are bred right and handled properly you would have an amazing animal!

this are my presas in 1990. word of advise there havent been pure presas for few decades now, all there are is just expensive amstaff, apbt, bullmastiff, neo, and majorero mongrels. you want a good house/catchdog get yourself a good working american bulldog, cheaper, healthier and 10 times more capable
both mid 70 lbs soaked and wet
