wont the Hog hurt the dog? a real hog dog barks at the hog so it stays in its place then the hunter shoot but a APBT would attack and that doesnt seem smart

Bay dogs bark at them, catch dogs do just that, catch.

Look it up on youtube theres some awesome footage of hog hunting and the dogs they run. I would love to get hooked up with an outfit down in Texas or somewhere that hog hunts.

Catching hogs is a rush especially when you have a good catch dog! Hard to beat as far as hunting goes having good dogs and catching pigs with a pit. Real hands on for dog an handler. Yes it is an can be dangerous for both. Some dogs ain't cut out for it an some live for it. U suit ur dog up with protective gear that really does help but they's always a risk of getting one cut. I have thrown quite a few stitches in the bulldogs an bay dogs but this is the kind of work these dogs are bred for an live for. It's really important to work ur dog in a pen to see what and how they do with a pig bfor just sending a dog to a bay in the woods. Some dogs don't have they prey drive grip or desire to an some won't do anything but hit a hog no matter how big it is! A dog aggressive pit don't do good either. Hopefully this may shed some lite
