yeah the Fish pills are one of the dogmans "secrets" lol. Just make sure you are using the correct antibiotic when treating your animal. Some antibiotics are more specific than others. Truth be known I've used Fish Mox to treat myself on a few occasions lol.. No gills,,,, yet!

Thats what the Merck Vet manual suggests. Well, it actually states 10-30mg per kg. KG=2.2 pounds.

Cephalexin: Antibiotic For Dogs And Cats - 1800PetMeds

Cephalexin is a powerful antibiotic and a very good one used to treat bacterial skin infections, UTI's, respiratory tract infections, and prevention of secondary infections.

I have used it as well it's the same thing the doctors prescribe only a prescription is not needed because it's marketed for the use of fish tanks.

So , you dont need a script to order from Pet Meds?

you have to have your vet call in the script in order to get all anti biotics but the ones for the so called fish are ones you dont need a srcipt for but I think you can get anti biotics from Canada without a script

Stick with the fish tabs from the vet supply company's, if you know what you are doing. If not, then go to the vet, get your script, then take it to the Walmart pharmacy because its most likely the cheapest place to get a script filled.

I was curious as to whether Pet Meds did sell antibiotics without the need of a script, but I guess not (didnt think so either). I have my faithful and reliable sources already ;)

No you do it's just the recommended dosage guide lines Pet Meds has the recommended dosage for every RX on the site. Vets can always increase or decrease depending on what they are treating but it's just a reference link for the drug...

I've had great luck with it. It is a little more expensive than the Cephalexin from my vet though. If you don't have a vet that will sell it to you though, I'd advise you invest in some. You never know when you'll need it. Accidents happen when you least expect them.

I have used the fish flex on myself as well. Cephalexin is just the generic for Keflex.

They have removed this products from walk in stores. None of the pet stores or supplies keep fish anything worth while now. IIRC new law or something. So time to stock up from online stores while we can!!!!

I noticed it disappearing on Amazon not sure why they used to have all those fish antibiotics on Amazon not anymore. I really hope the FDA is not trying to pull them off the market or trying to stop distribution some how. I haven't read anything that would suggest that was happening but I was kind of wondering why it was sold all over Amazon and just a few months ago not one listing period.
