You said you were done the last two replies before this one lol. Guess not. That's why I didn't reply, not because I'm wrong. With you repeating that, of course my reaction is to try to close the argument lol.

I was only speaking for conformation as that sadly is what the breeds in question are being bred for anymore. I never mentioned APBTs, only SBTs and ASTs. The link I posted was the illustrated breed standard from the STCA and it clearly says "bully." Before that I wrote that, upon further investigation, with SBTs they do call them bulldog type and not bully.

In the end does it really matter? It has no bearing on Dogmen or the APBT...or any working dog for that matter lol. Its a Staff thing. Hell, its a show ring thing, regarding acceptable body types in conformation.

I meant I am done if your done replying to me LOL

Its funny how you said not because your wrong but yet admit that upon further investigation they do call it bulldog type and not a bully type LOL.

It doesnt matter if you were only speaking of conformation you cant change the fact that the Original/correct term is either a bull type or a terrier type.

That STCA link you posted illustrates what happens when one veers off of the breed Standard. They called it the bully type because that is the name of that new breed called Bullys/Bullies.

When describing phenotype genes or traits unless your talking about that SPECIFIC Bullys/Bullies breed of dog then the proper term should be a Bull or Terrier type.

Anytime someone mentions the term Bully/Bullie that is already established as a seperate distinct breed of dog hence why some people didnt understand the O.P.

It doesnt really matter unless you want to know the correct History of the original terminologies of how the name Bull and Terrier came to be.

We may yet but I think there are great dogs to be found among ALL the bull breeds. Keeping with that, obviously a phenotype, or in this case, the bullie-type, certainly doesn't dictate whether the young lad will be a once-in-a-lifetime dog or not.

But, anyway, back on point, how about the European SBT breeders that were alluded to earlier -- who's got a real fine, multi-generation strain with a more terrier-type focus?

If you do a google search for working Staffordshire Bull Terriers you might find some kennels in Europe.

Riskys Staffords is one that came up in the UK.

I have 3 of this type in the US.
The usually phrases are not "bully type" and "terrier type" but "stronger type" and "finer type".
There are a few imported by people as working Staffords but the wording doesn't mean working out in the field but they are from athletic lines of show Staffords and are imported by people for agility, flyball, weight pull etc.

you don't have to get offended but the words you use were never used in these parts of the woods.
You also don't have to get sarcastic maybe i am more intelligent then you, who knows not up to me to say so, or do i care about such things.
Good luck with your imported atlethic show dogs, next time you can explain where you come up with the 'stronger' and 'finer' type.

Look at your post and think if you could have worded it a little better.
Now, if you think you couldn't then that confirms your level of intelligence.
I have had Staffords for 28 yrs so I do know a little about terminology.
I didn't say I use those phrases I said that they are usually what's used, maybe you might want to read my post again and check that. Also cabron the terminology comes from England which is where i'm from but i'm lucky enough to live in Cali. Now as for my imported athletic show dogs, did I say that.
It's funny that every now and again someone new comes on this forum and talks like they're billy big balls and for some reason assumes that nobody else knows anything.
Now instead of chatting shit why don't you msg me your real name so I can look you up and spend some time learning from the genius that you are.

wow this get's to you doesn't it.
I'm just saying that those words are never used, they use bull and terriër type.
you are the first that i ever seen use it.
I don't assume you don't know anything because i don't know you at all.
looking at you avatar i see you have show type sbt maybe that's why you feel offended.
I have nothing to teach you, you know it all since you have them for 28 years.
Maybe we can talk in the future when you learn to have a normal conversation with out trying to insult a person

Irrespective of the subject what I find offensive is your big mouth and lack of communication skills.
We will not talk in the future because you will always be a remedial.

so far you are the one with the big mouth yas, i'm still beeing decent al this because you are so up set that i used 'wtf where the hell did that come from' LOL
I'm not insulting you in person or what so ever, if you find that offence grow some thicker skin.

To OP think some members on this forum can help you, other wise look more in to the working bred sbt and i think you wil find what you are looking for.
A few have show dogs that are very good in build but most show dogs go to the bull type of dogs
