do a search for dog food or feed etc. ..... this topic has been discussed many times and you will find good info in those threads to determine what to feed and why. I feed canidae and pro plan depending on the dog.

If you are looking for a pup try shelters in your area! If you really believe you need to talk to a breeder, just check the links page on this site....plenty of reputable breeders ;)

please please please do not breed. Thousands of great dogs are killed every year....no need to contribute to the problem. On top of that, what has your dog done to prove himself worthy of being bred....how will breeding him help the breed as a whole? You obviously have alot to learn about these dogs before you even consider breeding, let alone doing it. Theres so many reasons not to breed and no real good reasons for joe schmo to breed his dogs, please dont contribute to the problem. :(

You are looking for colors? If that is the deciding factor of a breeding program, then there should be no program at all. Are you sure American Brindle is the bloodline of your dog?

american brindle is not his blood line he is a colby brindle got his ped. etc

Putting more dogs in irresponsible homes... just what the breed needs.

Colby brindle isn't a bloodline either.
What do you mean "breeding for the kids in the neighborhood"? Please explain.

  14. rocksteady

    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

sell to the KIDS in the neighborhood??? KIDS DONT NEED THESE DOGS

and pretty soon they'll be breeding to "give to kids in the neighborhood" and pretty soon you'll be out of business...

There is a big difference in rescuing dogs from being euthanized and breeding dog that will end up being euthanized. People that are rescuing are trying to clean up the mess that BYBs make.
The respected members of this board are breeding dogs to improve the breed. Often, they keep entire litters. They are not in it for personal gain or the gain of others. It is for the dogs.
Where do you get the idea that half the people here fight their dogs? That is pure speculation. You have no idea what people do with their dogs. If anyone does fight their dogs, they sure as hell don't mention it on this site. So, your statement has no basis in fact. It is all in your head.

bronx- APBT's are for exsperianced and responsible owners, kids on the street definitly cant provide a good home for any dog.

breeding takes a whole lot of effort, you need to have the dogs that are gunna be bred health checked and the pups have to have shots. ect ect ect. you have to have a lot of money to care for a litter of puppy's and on top of that to be a responsible breeder you have to find homes for the pups..........

with responsible people that could afford- shots, vet bills, food, and toys. on top of that provide the right shelter.

how would you feel if a pup you sold ended up dead because of the "kids on the street" couldnt care for a living breathing animal.

or even worse the animal was mistreated and attacked someone?

DONT BREED. its back yard bred dogs that are the problem.

i would never buy a dog if the parents havnt been health checked or the pups werent up to date with shots and dewormed or the breeder was not keeping the yard squeaky clean.
