ANOTHER response from Kathy McIntyre

This is what dear kathy had to say to my email to
her.....


Cowards are people who will not even use their name
when they have an opinion. I am not a coward.
Furthermore, there has not been one case of anyone
bothering anyone who legally registered their pit bull
in Commerce City. If you were not so ignorant you
would have gotten the whole story before spouting off.
The pit bull owners here in Commerce City are not
complaining at all, it is all the crazy pit bull
lobbyists throughout the country who have absolutely
no business whatsever telling us what to do in our
city. We have a population of 35,000 people here and
24 pit bulls. We didn't ban them, we had them register
and be responsible. The problem is the ones here that
are not registered that are being used by drug dealers
for protection and for fighting. All you pit bull
crazies do not care about those poor animals. In
Commerce City if we see a pit bull that is not on the
list of registered houses we call our local police,
some of the best police in the country, and they go
rescue the dog. By the way two of those poor dogs were
being held by someone who was a criminal with
outstanding felony warrants. So mind your own business
if you don't live here and do something worthwhile
with your life, like finding a solution to the problem
of the abused pit bull like we have done in our
community. Also, think before you talk and act next
time. That is why I am able to do good. By the way I
did not start any firestorm, it is you and all your
vulgur, rude, crazy, unprofessional friends. I do not
call people or fax people in the middle of the night.
I am professional and kind. I have not been contacted
by one person who is educated or has any valid point
to make. I do think that I should go back to
Washington DC for this issue. I helped solve the
airbag problem and no maybe it is time to solve the
pit bull problem.

She Vented That Is For Sure. Kinda Pissy Though.

 

I am bad with names....who is Kathy McIntyre? She did sound pissed off and influential (solved the airbag problem???). Her point is valid, register your dog! I do not agree with going around neighborhoods hunting for dogs not in their list of register houses. Why does she think unregistered dogs are only owned by criminals? that was ignorant.

 

Kathy McIntyre printed the addresses of all the REGISTERED pit bulls in her newspaper. "so people could take safety measures if they are near any of those addresses"

 

That Is Just Wrong There. Put Them On Blast Because They Own A Pit

 

With the current politics, I would never register my dog. When Denver was forced to lift it's ban in 2004, it told people they could have "pit bulls" as long as they registered them. Well, when they won the case against the state in May 2005, they used that list of registered dogs to go door to door and seize the dogs. The responsible owners were the ones punished.

 

" I have not been contacted by one person who is educated or has any valid point
to make." Where does she get off calling anybody uneducated. Seems to me she could use a lesson in education after she plainly associates the pitbull with a drug dealer. Last time I checked, people of all race, color, creed and profession had the right to own an APBT. Everybody knows the saying about opinons being like a**holes, well she just proved that theory to be true. The only valid point I can agree with is to register your dog.

 

I sent her an email,,it was not rude,,it was just to the point,,I will let ya know what she says back to me

 

definately let us know Catcher T . But contrary to what Kathy wrote in this letter NONE of the people from the BSL list have been rude. Although I cannot vouche for all the other thousands of people who may have wrote as well

 

I don't know what your email said, nor anyone elses for that matter, and I'm not pointing the blame at anyone directly on this board. Those statements however, are truely a shame!! Sad as it is, that is what happens.. The lady has obviously had her share of backlash from owners of "pit bulls" via phone calls, faxes, emails.. Sounds like instead of emails/phone calls stating a professional, educated reply ~ she's getting the "normal" let's all get the bitch and teach her a lesson.
Replies in anger, threatening emails, name calling, etc. only cause what you see above ~ MORE PROBLEMS for owners. Bombarding someone with irrational, or pointless emails will only encourage them to continue with their "mission". Sounds like she's pissed and ready to encourage further BSL and fight even more against "pit bull" ownership. It isn't helping any situation or any causes if everyone replying/contacting her sounds like just another violent idiot. Most owners of any "pit bull" breed are stereotyped anyway, let's not encourage the stereotype.

I think someone who is over Miss McIntyre needs to see what kind of accusations and name-calling she is throwing out!

I certainly would like to address her threat regarding her pull on the hill, I could meet her there.......

 

She sounded rude in her letter. She asked for it though.

 

Fuuny to me she says she hasn't recieved anything from anyone with valid points or any education but her response sounds very uneducated and I found not one valid point she made. I also emailed her. As a military wife I am outraged that she violated these peoples rights like this. What exactly does my family sacrifice for when the only thing the government wants to do is take away our rights as dog owners just because of the breed we love and choose to have in our homes. This lady has lost her mind and if it were my address she published she would have me all over her case.
