Black Gold works really well. You can order it at eppinette kennels, but I don't know how much shipping will cost. Shipping is free for their supplies, but you may have to pay shipping for something that heavy.

I feed my pits Black Gold and I highly reccomend it, I also give my pits a spoon full of mayonaise and I teaspoon of oil(corn oil, vegitable, or just a spoon full of bacon drippings) this keeps their coat very shiny and glossy, also it is a good idea if you have an underweight dog, just increase those supplements a little more.

I was feeding Black Gold originally because it's pretty big in SC. There's a black gold factory right outside of Columbia, SC. I would recommend it though, my dogs really liked it. And they looked good off of it. Then I switched over to Diamond and they wouldn't touch the stuff. There is a website for Black Gold though. If you click on that link it will take you to a page that will list who carries Black Gold by state.

Black Gold will make your dog look pretty good, but
my experience was that it made their stool and urine EXTREMELY strong smelling
(FOUL)...I couldn't hack it for this reason alone.
    Good luck.

I dont like black gold i use sportmix and my dogs do good on it.

  13. i use black gold red 30/20 you can even use it for puppies even though i like the 25# gold wrapper which is the best puppy food. you use alot less of black gold and cup for cup it is one of the most economical dog foods you can buy.

  14. you can take your dogs from good to "great" if you would just try the red bag or if your dogs are under heavy exercise use the blue bag.

  15. I didn't get that from the black gold, i experienced decrease in amount of pooh and i didn't have to feed them as much to give them the nutrients that they need. some forms digestive infections can make them smell strong. have you ever considered that?

The only reason that I switched away from black gold is because of some of the ingredients. But in a world where nothing is perfect I'd have to say that it's a pretty good feed. The protein and fat values are good and it's economical. $17-18 for 50lbs aint half bad at all. I've never even heard of sport mix.

Is he lean or does he have a stocky build? The food sounds good, but have you noticed anything bad about the food. How long did it take for your dogs to start eating it? Have you noticed any change in his coat from the corn? How do you feel about the chicken by-product? How much is it?

Sorry to ask so many questions but food is a major concern of mine.

it is about 16 dolars for 59 pounds and my one male is a stocky build but lean for the way he is built i use this formula for the winter and a different one for summer cuz this is to much fat for summer but they need the extra fat in the winter cuz it gets real cold here my dog liked it right away and i haven't seen nothing bad about it all
i think this food is a varitey cuz it has chicken fish flax and all but some might dis it cuz it doesnt say CHICKEN first but i use what works and dont need a fancy label
