yea i would imagine things were a lot more leniant back then.
and hey i wish i thought more like you did when i was going cuz ill tell you what, if i could rewind 7-8 years back i would do it all different.
but at the time i was young, dumb and honestly didnt give 2 shits about my value of life, much less my education.
but like i said, if given the chance to go back and do it different, i would IN A HEARTBEAT!

LOL damn! i don't know about cali laws, but if you had a sign that said it was a drug free school zone then you caught a break! Back when i was going to school and i was like 14, i got bum rushed by some police early morning cuz they found a lil bit of that gurl by my desk. I was held for a couple months on a probation violation... but was gettin charged with all kinds of shit. Possession of cocain, attemping to deliver within 1000 feet of a public school and some other bowlshit. None of it stuck though because it was no crime scene. The teacher found the coca by my desk, picked it up, that was first mistake... took it to principles office and then they called the police. then tried to lie on me and say they found it in my folder... i never did school work back then so i aint even have no folder. but all the charges were dropped after holding me for like 5 months on a violation, cuz one of my terms of probation was to remain in school lol so bassically they could hold me as long as i wasnt allowed back in school. I was innocent anyways

i wouldnt say thats the rule......ive took drugs.....and i aint robbed/murdered/raped anyone in my life....certain drugs do alot more damage than others.....crack etc....but it also goes down to situation, personality and surroundings......some of the best times ive had in my life were when i was off my nut on either coke,ecstacy,acid,mushrooms.....if you know how to handle it then it should be fine.....im not saying drugs are great.....but in moderation they can be a plus.....imho

You can abuse anything. I don't use drugs personally, never have. But i can't sit here and tell you on one hand, someone should be able to do whatever they want with their own property. Then on the other hand tell you, people CAN'T do whatever they want to their own body. If you don't like drugs, don't do em. Don't want your kids on drugs? Do your best raising them and keeping them away from situations in which drugs may be introduced. If you like drugs, do them responsibly.

Well I think your going to be hard pressed to find a kid that actually likes school, Not saying they ain't out there but they are definitely a rarity.

But there ain't no reason why you can't straighten your schooling out now and change things for the better, There are always ways if your willing to put in the hard work that it takes.

I went to continuation school my self. I graduated with an adult ed diploma that is only good in my state. Im a junior at fresno state gettin A's. School isnt hard. Just another hustle. School loans arent hard to get either. You just got to find a career that makes enough to pay them back. Not trying to toot my horn just sayin any thing is possible.

Do you like working when every one else is partying such as holidays and weekends? Something you should ask yourself and there are a lot of chefs that arent paying off their loans. I know a really good chef in the sco and he doesnt have a degree but he is very talented and manages a few top notch places. But he's also going back to school to do something else.
Also i think culinary schools are private and are $$$$$

as someone who was in charge of hiring in the past, let me tell you this- what a GED tells me is ..."this person couldnt see the task thru( completing H.S.), how hard of a worker are they going to be when faced with some problem or type of adversity?"
sure, there are tons of excuses why people cant finish school, and thats just what they are- excuses. and yes, alot of people have gone on to be successful without a H.S. diploma...but those folks are rare...kinda like a blue gamedog :p

stay in school, get your diploma...and while you are there, learn how to spell "school" ;)

Disagree entirely! Im a 24year old who has been out of school since 13! Both my parents and siblings are teachers as were my grandparents. I consider myself well educated and a productive member of society and have a better education than most HSC holders do. I may be a shitty old truck driver but it's better than some people can say! School is not for everyone! Don't kid yourself!

I dont know i am about to turn 33 in a couple months and i did blow the first time at a 7th grade dance. Got it from my best friend that was my age.. he got it from a kid in high school a few years older, probably his brothers friends? Drugs where everywhere as a kid shit it is what we did and i mean most every kid to a large extent.. i mean def exceptions a few good kids mixed in. From 13 years old we could get all the smoke coke, lsd, shrooms, and pcp we wanted. Then at 16 or so it was extacy, ghb, heroin, meth and lsd coctails, we would do all that shit at once till our lips turned blue and our skin pale white then dance all night long or for days on end at dead concerts. This was all well over 15 years ago so i can only imagine what it is like now. Yes we sold drugs at school in middle school but you learnt by high school that that was after school activity. And none of us where ever confronted by pushers we all wanted to do the drugs and found em ourself pretty dam easy!! Not saying it was a good decision or i live this way anymore or in anyway condone any of the behavior but parents if you think drugs are not in your school think again. Shit you can make meath in a plastic coke bottle pretty dam easy these days and all for less than $50!!!

your right their schools not for everyboby but drugs should not make their way into school playgrounds these SCUM who do peddle such drugs round playgrounds should be punished severly as a deterant to others , i know that another dealer will spring up to take his place as their is money involved in the selling of drugs but we must make it a deterant to others who will do such a thing to our kids , i live in glasgow & few years back their was a little girl of 10years old doing heroin & it came to light that it was the girls own mother who got her into it ??? PROTECT THE KIDS
