Butcherboy, I do not agree with you at all. All the old time dogmen Carver, Mayfield, Tudor, and hundreds of others that fought dogs sold them also. At first they registered their dogs with UKC them when UKC wanted themselves distanced from the fighting dog. People started using ADBA. All famous dogmen's names are on lots of Pedigrees that tells you the dogs were bought and fought or used as Broodstock. Ralph Greenwood who was a famous dogfighter and he registered some of my dogs free to get be me to register my dogs with ADBA. People have put out the word that ADBA has had Lawmen at their business checking them out. I have known the people at ADBA for years and they have informed me that that story is bull. Garner registers his dogs and also has many Great fighting dogs plus some that aren't so good. It is a free world and any dog man is entitled to do as he or she desires. I fought lots of dogs back when no lawman bothered you much for it. I peddled some dogs back then too. Several ended up champions Grandchampions and 1 and 2 time winners and some quit too.

Another reason to have your papers is if you decide to breed off your yard. Male or Female

Although this topic has been discussed like a brazillian times LOL...One needs to clarify when just mentioning papers.....There are two type of papers. One is just a hand written paper/pedigree from the breeder himself, the other is a paper/pedigree written and made from some sort of REGISTRY.....When one is registering his dogs at any Registry one has to tell the Registry how his/her dogs are bred, like a old timer once said> why would I pay someone to tell me what I already know. LMAO

I forgot to say. I hear that all the time branding people as Peddlers. If you read between the lines. People who say that those that register their dogs are Peddlers. They are trying to say they do not register their dogs so Law enforcement will not notice me because I am fighting dogs. I believe that statement that was made will draw attention to the man that says those words. I do not think it is very smart to put that statement out there. If I were still fighting dogs I might put out that statement. I see so many incriminating statements on chat rooms all the time. I believe if I were a lawman I could detect who is and who may not be fighting dogs.

With all due respect, Randy. I think you're assuming quite a bit. Hog doggers use 'game bred' dogs that may be able to be registered but why would they register their dog when it could be killed before the papers come back in the mail?
