    One lightning strike and 9 dead Brangus cows.this happened yesterday .

    Around 2000 a head...Pure Bred Brangus

    My cousins cows that lives down the road from me.I dont know the ins and outs of cattle breeding but that's a tough loss.

    That's proof of the power of lightening. It would take a lot of electricity to kill a cow. I'll have to look up Brangus. It sounds like a cross between an Angus and a Brahma.

    An example of where not to take cover in a thunderstorm.These cows were using this as shade on a hot day and didn't move when the storm came through.Enough sence to get out of the sun but not a thunderstorm lol.

    Wow! I have never seen anything like that.

    Sorry for their loss. Like any type of breeding it is a monetary loss but also 2-4-6 years of time, effort and expense.
