What is the best and tighest Carver Blood being bred and worked today ? What dog or dogs are throwing the best traits of the ol' school carver blood . Looking to outcross with this one of a kind Eli bitch .

Yep. When you get a good one, more than likely you got a great one. Very few middle of the road dogs from em. They're either exceptional or culls. In my experience anyway. Patience of course is key as with all dogs.

 

Oh yeah no doubt. Patience is not only the key its the hardest thing for people to grasp.

 

the "best" is subjective. "tightest" blood is something to stay from that's pedalling talk. carver bred too many great dogs to pinpoint a certain family. others have had good luck matianing a foundation of carver bred dogs but there usaly reference as the folks that bred them. bolio,jeep,cowboy,boomerang, rascal etc. lots out there & the best are usaly a cross of the different bloodline that tha O'l man made famous.

 

First of all thanks bb for your reply . Let me make a few things clear , to me the "best" is an opinion and that's what im looking for other dogmens opinion so i can look through and make my decision on which carver line of today to focus on , persue and obtain . Tightest might be peddlers talk to you and many others on this forum but to me it describes what or how I need the dog bred to cross into my bitch to improve the dogs i'm putting on the ground for the sake of my yard . I don't sell dogs or pups to the public for profit (peddler) cause I only buy dogs or pups that i need for my program . I don't breed anything I don't intend to keep or farm out to my small circle of friends . I also know that the ol' man has bred hounds that were influential to the foundation of many legendary dogs and lines . I posted this thread to , as I do all my threads , gain info and possible contacts that can help me or I can help in the future . NETWORKING IS THE KEY .
With that being said dogs are a cycle to me , I believe that people cross different blood lines hoping to reproduce a dog or dogs that best exemplify the lines in which they cross or correct flaws found in the stock in which they already run , i'm no different . So like I said in my initial thread i'm looking for the best and purest Ol' school Carver dog or line being worked today to cross into my Eli bitch to hopefully create my own Art's Missy , Gr Ch Boomerang , Ch Nel , Ch Fox , Hudson's Tex , Kemmer's Macho , Loposay's Buster ROM and (Carver's) Davis' Piggy ROM just to name a few of the great dogs that come from the legendary Eli/Carver cross . Now in my research of the Carver blood of today LG , Thibodeaux and McCool carver lines seem to have it the way I would like it . They are running it pure enough that I can add it to my program the way I want it and not water it down . So if any one on this forum can help either post something or pm me if you want to remain behind the scenes , I definately understand . Thanks in advance db

I got a friend who has some of the best boomerang dogs in the country hands down!!...and I'm not talking about that water down blood VC has!!...the old man keeps it tight and right!

 

VC`s stuff is hardly watered down lol.IMO the best Carver blood would be from either TDK or Lacefield.

 

He use to have good stock Pa!!....I wouldn't touch it now for nothing in the world!!...

 

If I was adding carver it certainly would be coming from Mr Young and those monsters he got..

A good buddy of mine lives down the street from McCool... & he has had hounds from the MAN w/NO success

I was told personally from an "OLD TIMER"... Cross that into some "TIGHT" HONEYBUNCH
