    2 Nacogdoches men arrested on felony dog fighting charges

    Nacogdoches Police officers arrested two men on felony dog fighting charges Saturday morning after they responded to a call about a possible dog fight in progress.

    Terrance Inglisky Blakley, 36, and Ira Lee Tutt III, 33, both of Nacogdoches, were both booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail felony charges of dog fighting: participate in earn. Each man posted a $15,000 bail and was released later Saturday.

    According to the police report, NPD officers were dispatched out to a residence in the 1200 block of Shawnee Street at 5:24 a.m. in reference to a possible dog fight. The call was made by neighbors who could allegedly hear dogs barking and fighting.

    Blakey and Tutt were arrested at the scene.

    Nacogdoches Animal Services took two pit bull dogs into custody. Both dogs had obvious cuts that were allegedly sustained in the fight, according to the police report. A vet treated the animals for their injuries at Nacogdoches Animal Services.

    Sgt. Greg Sowell, a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department, said no further information was available.
