I thought I seen someone talk about you do some Thai boxing or some mma related training and even competed? So you understand. You’d eat a boxer up easy with some clinching and knees and elbows. Nothing against boxers, but it’s a limited art.

who trains? or worse, derives income from MA? regardless if you practice rolling intensive forms like BJJ, or even stand-off weapons like sticks, katana etc., all this is on hold for a while. kinda worrisome.

Either should win I'm their respective venue. But I think a boxer has a better chance of upsetting and MMArtist. Plenty MMA fights dont make it to the mat. Imagine if its was a skilled boxer landing those hits as opposed to someone with half assed boxing ability.
Whereas in boxing the MMA guy has nothing to bring to the table.
On the streets I've found a good headbutt will give most pause about trying to grab you a second time

 

I guess my point is they're all martial arts. I wouldn't discount what any of the disciplines bring to the table

 

boxing is extremely limited and relies on very specific set of unrealistic rules, of course an MMA fighter wont be good at it

a boxer has built his whole gameplan and defense on their huge gloves.... Totally different game and boxer's distance is extremely dangerous against an mmaer. All an mma figther needs is a leg kick!

 

If that's all they needed they wouldn't get 1 hitter quitered by guys who cant throw punches as good as a pure boxer

 

And boxing gloves have nothing to do with boxing technique. They're there for safety. Remember boxing started bare knuckle

 

then you know nothin about boxin technique....

 

knocking someone out with 4 oz gloves is walk in the park compared to 8-10 oz gloves. why do you think boxers suffer brain injuries? its because they can take dozen more head shots without going KO and ending the match
