Eliminating urine odor

Discussion in 'Health & Nutrition' started by elviejon01, Oct 20, 2018.

  1. Hello,

I use bleach and dish soap to clean my kennels. I pick up daily and water down the kennels weekly but can’t seem to completely eliminate the urine Smell( in fact it seems the water amplified the smell) What product would you guys suggest for odor elimination particularly urine smell?

    Thanks

  8. How do you apply the hydrated lime. Do you spray it, sprinkle it on the area in powder form or scrub with it?

    Thanks for the insight!

I cover the kennel ground with it. Looks like it snowed. I let it sit for a day. The next day I soak the ground and rake the kennel to mix it in real good. A day later I put the dog back in the kennel. Some will put the dogs right back in the kennel but i dont feel comfortable doing that since lyme can burn the paw pads. I figure, why take the chance. I just keep moving a dog to the next kennel over while I'm waiting. 2 days later the dog is back in their original kennel. Takes me a good week to complete all the kennels. I only do it twice a year. Spring and fall. It never smells here and my neighbors will attest to that. Lol. I also have crushed limestone as the kennel floor so that helps a ton as well. Good luck! Shit works well. I've tried the fabuloso too but that only lasts a day or 2 befroe the smell comes back.

Lol and no, I'm not Chinese or mexican.
