    Achievements:
    Battling Duchess was said by her owner to be the best bitch he ever owned after buying her as a 3 year old from Bob Watt,both Duchess and her brother Battling Devil were renowned badger dogs as well as being show winners.They go back to Joe Mallen's Gentleman Jim,their sire Brindle Devil was sent over to Ireland from the North of England by Harry Payne to Willie Delaney of Dublin. These dogs are behind the "red strain" dogs such as Joe,Jim,Ruby and Jess on the top side of Tyger's pedigree,along with the "Psycho" line(more on the Psycho/Northford strain on following pages) and the Flynn/Evergreen dogs,they are today,the Staffords known by many as "Irish Staffs". So as you can see they are not,as claimed by many of the dog establishment,K.C,Rspca and others,American Pit Bull Terriers "in disguise".
